Love your progress on your wips and your plans for 2025. Too bad, I will miss you at StitchNorth. I am going to the one at the end of April. Happy stitching!
I totally understand your struggle with the symmetry in the sampler. I prefer symmetry myself. Sometimes I make adjustments to glaring differences other times I embrace the unique features of the piece. It’s ok to make it reflect what you like. It’s your sampler now. Make it what you love! No one will notice but you!
Thank you!!
I’m in Northern California and today totally felt like the beginning of spring! It was so wonderful, I decided to clean out my greenhouse. Tomorrow, there’s rain in the forecast. I gotta take advantage of nice weather. I enjoyed your WIP parade. Nice work on the At Home by Brenda Gervais. It’s really turning out gorgeously! ❤
Thank you so much!! I wish it felt like spring here..🫠
Hello, just found your channel, and have some catching up to do. I found that the Markup Rx P tutorial videos on TH-cam were quick and clear and helped me a great deal.
Good morning Alana. I totally understand the symmetry conversation. My eye tends to see that as well. In fact I make mistakes in stitching because of it. Sometimes I think it's an optical illusion when I look back and forth between my stitched piece and the pattern. Do whatever works for you but the important thing is finishing the piece for your daughter-in-law. It's great to have a Canadian stitching friend!
Thank you so much!!
I am so happy to be a new subscriber. I enjoyed your WIP parade very much. What a stunning stitch you are making for your mom!! It’s gorgeous and such a brave piece to start with on linen. I admire you. All your pieces are gorgeous and I look forward to seeing your upcoming videos. I’ll need to go back and watch your previous ones!!❤
Welcome and thank you so much!
Wishing you a wonderful New Year. Thank you for showing your stitching, you are an inspiration.
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
Beautiful projects! Thank you for the WIP parade.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!!
Thank you so much for mentioning my Bible Study and Proverbs 31 SAL. I plan to start February 1st. Lovely WIPs and best of luck on no buy until May....I already bought 2 patterns today. LOL! Thanks again and keep on stitching!
I am so happy to join in! It’s such a great idea!
Loved seeing all your different wips. They are all gorgeous
Thank you so much! 😊
I was so excited to hear you talk about Winter, Sampler of the Seasons. I just pulled out my project bag with mine all kitted up and plan on starting today or tomorrow. Thank you for helping me find the Summer and Spring ones. I had a chance to go to Shepard's Bush this fall and they helped me find fabric for all three of these. ( Autumn is done!). Love, love your videos with all your beautiful projects.
That’s wonderful! I hope you have fun stitching yours!
Happy New Year Alana! Love all your wips and plans. I feel you're very lucky to live close to the border and have access to wips & supplies that can't be shipped into Canada. I'm looking forward to seeing how your year goes.
Thank you so much! 😊
You have lots of great WIPS. Keep on stitching--they will get done. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! I hope so! Happy New Year!
Loved seeing all your WIPS and am excited to see how 2025 plays out for you - happy new year Alana! Take care, Nic x
Thank you! Happy New Year to you too!
Just recently found your flosstube thanks to the Stitching Owl. Karen and I will be at Stitch North weekend two. Can’t wait to meet you.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you found my channel! I’m looking forward to meeting you in person!
You are so normal and I love it and totally relate. I, however, will not be able to no-buy on patterns due to fomo and patterns have a way of disappearing. No unicorns for me. I will allow myself to kit one pattern once a month. Patterns are easy to store and kits are expensive and become bulky to store. And I avoid having too many wips this way.
Thank you so much! I love the one pattern a month idea!! I tend to only buy a few times a year but stock up
Beautiful stitching! I just ordered green coat Santa on her patreon. Can’t wait to start 😊
You’ll love it! Happy stitching! 😊
LOL I also use just like Adobe Reader on my phone for patterns too!!! i color over where i have done, very simple. PS i love the stitch behind you
Thank you!!
Love your wip parade. Happy new year. You have beautiful projects. It would be interesting to see what you unkitted or decided to UFO.
Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you too!
Beautiful wips!
Thank you!
For the Sarah Smith sampler, I wouldn’t want to stitch it either. I’d hate to have people who don’t ’get it’ think that I messed it up. So I’d make all corners the same 🙃
I’m so happy to hear others that have the same thoughts!! 😂
Hi Alana - if you "love" the Sarah Smith, then you love it the way it is. Obviously, the asymmetrical nature of the piece is not bothering you. This means you should stitch it the way it is. It is only your need to have everything matchy-matchy that is holding you up. Nobody and nothing in creation is perfectly symmetrical. Just keep telling yourself that. I really hope you can get over this hump and stitch that for your daughter-in-law. Have a happy New Year and keep stitching.
Yes, I need to just keep stitching!
Milk and honey. Cream and sugar. They are half and half. Three statements of dairy 😂😂😂
😂😂
Your plan with the anniversary charts - the Blackbird ones for your family is so cool! Are you going to put their birth year in the date and then the initials elsewhere? Or are the initials going where the date is on the chart?
Happy 2025!
Thank you! I haven’t completely decided yet. I think I am going to try to get initials and birthdates. I’m not great at recharting..😂 so we shall see what happens
There are helpful videos for Mark up xp. It does have a learning curve but once you get it you will never go back to paper. Let me know if I can help you
I have seen a few..I just lack the patience to learn 😂😂
Can you name the 2 red ornaments that are on yourtree?
The pillows? They are a set of patterns from A New Creation Studio on Etsy
