Me and the Boss share a lecky Pendleton, she uses it a lot more than me, every time I use it always think "This could do with some higher gears". Maybe it's an intentional speed limiter?
I don't keep up with legislation but always fancied an electric bike. As a chunky scotsman I would need more than a 250w motor for sure is that allowed these days or is that only meant for the old "offroad"
🏴☠️… again, not an advocation, but these stickers for children are very fun. My daughter loves sticking them all over my electric bikes! www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09YCZ9DS1/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1DDAAWXTSACHMCCK6BP2?linkCode=ml2&tag=stusreviewsyoutube-21
I think unless the bike is pedal assist ,,, no throttle.. then it's illegal in the UK. The maximum speed allowed is 15.5 mph on pedlec bikes. Just be careful in what you say is legal
you are right indeed 👍 although, I never mention what specifically is legal, as there’s a diverse audience that watch these episodes. I did mention freebeat make several models of different motors for localised compliance (6:30) for most counties however 👍.
@@StusReviewsUK got an NCM paris. being in aus melbourne for 1599aud not sure what that is in british pounds. throttle only 25kmh max, range 40-50km. at 5'2 70ish kg itll last me the whole work week though ill charge it on thursday just in case. using assist level 4 sometimes 5 out of 6 or if im lazy after work throttle only. take train to work early morning its free before 7am and ride home which saves me that myki ticket money of 7.7ish km. no problems so far in 2ish months. its getting winter now and rains on occassion. its a folding bike but i never fold it. it is a step through which is nice because im short. has a rear rack and ive attached a milk crate i got from work which is great for groceries. might change out the grips the fake leather and stitching is kind of uncomfortable not super grippy and the stitching kind of sits in front where your fingers wrap, at least theyre ergo grips and not straight round. i did have a regular not mountain bike (before it got stolen few years back) electric bikes sure are fun hey. really does solve the issue of well i dont want to be dead by the time i get to or from work and i can choose to "work out' if i want. otherwise no issues so far. maybe get slightly wider tires i dont know not sure if any for i think either 16 or 20' wheels. also theres not many bikes that sit between the 1000-2000aud that have all the features i wanted without getting additional accessories for the purpose im using it for. like did some shopping around anything less than 1000 seem suspect then it jumps straight up to 1700+ with barely inbetween. oh well or theyll be 1200 not including rack and mudguards which would be an additional 2-300 anyways. im also kind of on a budget among other factors and criteria. anyways you being a 7foot monster maybe consider getting an extended seat post that fits that bike. i realised after the first day saddle height was very important. i had it low so i could lean on one leg but then find out after riding home it was messing with my knees. ive slowly increased the saddle height and saddle forward so its been much better since and learned to step off. it also saves my ass. something to consider maybe.
It did actually! We were both quite surprised, although, it’s important to note that Ryan is about a foot shorter than me, and weighs about 25-30kg less, so if it were the other way round, I imagine the engwe might have died earlier? Hard to say without the same journey done for that!
Fat tyres not really the best on road bike looks like it’s more off road. Change wheels tyres and gearing and it would be very fast, unless motor limited of course
Haha, very true! But, two things… first, at least with this one I get money back on my TV bill, whereas a normal bike trainer I wouldn’t, and secondly, I can use my phone or tablet with it too, which would cost a lot less than the amount it can generate 👍
Actually it is! They do the 250w limited model for use on UK roads, which I mentioned they have various models for use in different countries - www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules
@@StusReviewsUKThe thing weighs 36kg! I don't think a 250w motor will provide anything like the experience you've reviewed, which is a shame, as I was actually quite tempted.
Your review should be included in the Freebeat Morph manual. Epically brilliant.
lol😁😅😅😂
lol best character selection ever!
Would you pick me? 😂
How tall are you?
6ft8

You know it may well be to limit the top speed! Still, I wonder what would happen if I swapped out the front cog one with more teeth… 🤔
@@StusReviewsUK Please do this. Test on a road with no pot holes, if there are any still out there.
Those are like unircorns… they simply don’t exist 😂
Don’t take offense to this but how is it possible, I’m enjoying this review just as much as top gear ????? Well done sir

Strictly speaking… No, but… and not advocating illegal actions here, just posing a theoretical question of… would anybody know? 👀

You used an non uk plug clip.....Stuuuuuu.
That thing has great tyres.
It’s in all regions, just used a generic clip 😂
In truth I meant to change it… only dropped it in for placeholder 🤦♂️
@StusReviewsUK i thought you were going down the road of playing up to an American audience as you have more viewership from there. 😉

Most fun I’ve had on an e-bike for a long while! You won’t be disappointed!
i already got an electric bike but thanks stu

How are you spelling that Inn? Closed captions has given me Lisbons Inn and Richmond Inn. Pretty sure it's not your pronounciation at fault either!
Rhydspence inn 👍

Yes it would have a big change to the speed and distance! Wonder how much… 🤔
Cool bike...But you were testing the US model and not the EU model 😞
Your tv is using more energy than the bike is creating. Netto is negative.
