38 year Simulator guy again. You truly are the best TH-cam Sim Racer of all time. You really care about your viewers. You don’t focus on anything but helping the Sim world. With my background I can be very critical of some peoples recommendations, but you always exceed my expectations. Thank you very much for your efforts and desire to help others. 😊
Thank you for the kind words and endless support man ❤️
Here here. We concur
Thanks for the review mate!🤜
Solid handbrake!
Thx bro🤗
How is it going with your rig project ?
@@chepilevski it's a lot better now with the rubber mat under. But I still can't run it past 50%😆
@ProjectSimRacing ah noo, I’m happy with 15-20% straight
Everything more then that kills my kidney 😁
@@chepilevski I agree! Last video I run it at 16%. Anything past that and it's almost impossible to film😁
@@ProjectSimRacing is like the wheel FFB, sometimes is fun to push max for fun but then is way better to have it low and feel all the different details.
Ones my feet’s detached from the rig on max 🤣
Hmmmm, did one by myself. Now looking at this review thinking do i need to make new model. Missing Barry R. from SRG videos, a lootttt😢
Man, what happened to Barry?
I miss his work too
I'm waiting for that perfect Sequential/Handbrake combination made in one unit so we can have them perfectly positioned side-by-side not having them too far spaced apart on the Rig like independent shifters and handbrake, then i'll say it's the best (could be garbage though depends who makes it)
Also don't understand the laser cut pieces, simple steel or aluminium shaft, cost effective and better looking. Simagic still take looks
This looks like a really nice shifter, especially for the price! Great video as always, have a good one, cheers 🍻😁
Instantly become my favorite in use 😃
Awesome review as Always. I am in it... Have to choose a shifter.. this one seems tongeel really good. 😅 The hardware jungle....
Well.... You are the only guy that I trust for simracing.... There is something on its way 😅
Благодаря ти приятелю
I have been using V1 for the past year and I got to say once you go AW everything else feels like a toy. Feeling wise 10/10.
Quite a monster 😁
no, I was talking about the lower dashboard
That’s the old Version from AW (another way)
Thanks for great review, man! I have their previous version of this combo which I absolutely love. The immersive feel of both but espacially the shifter will be hard to beat for competition for sure. Durability!! The new version is slim and I live the colors but for me there is no need to change, but I can strongly recommend to whoever is on the market for SQ shifter and handbrake, you will be extremely surprised what this kinda money can get you thanks to AW! ✌️
Price is insanely competitive for what it is and I still can’t believe how strong it can be set 😃
@@chepilevski another detail that I love about the shifter is that at night it can be set to very little force required, which makes it silent but still have the feel of gear shifts, for me this is brilliant feature. Other shifters lose the feel entirely when you try to use them in night-mode...
@@sushihtzu that’s actually very interesting point 🤔
I was so excited with the level of stiffness and didn’t even bother to test it in light mode which can help a lot the neighbors wellbeing 😁
@@chepilevski haha, try it, you will be very surprised how much fun it still is even after setting it to light, using it quite gently, trying not to wake the naighbors up😅
Very cool
Man, SG looks a lot more real and solid, but the specs on this seem so much better, AND its the same price😖
The SG is for sure one of my favorite shifters ever but this here can go really extreme 😁
I'm finishing my simple DIY 4040/4080 rig and these sort of shifters are looking very interesting (I spent an ungodly amount of money already please stop) 😂
Good points about hardware consistency and muscle memory. It definitely makes a difference if your hardware is built strong n steady!
That said my ebay handbrake I attached to my sq shifter is not of the aforementioned standards though it is bolted to the side of the shifter for efficiency.
Seriously tho bro with that many shifters in such a small space careful you don't shift into another dimension. 😂😂❤
Love ur work scholar! 😌🤌
🤣🤣🤣
If one day I stop posting, you know I’ve been shifted in another dimension 🤣
Hugs buddy 🍻
@@chepilevski Don't go bro your the only content guru in the know.
Who else am I gonna leave cheesy arse comments to!?! 🥰
Hey there! Right on! Another cool vid on some magic stuff! Hey I wanted to ask you this which might be a tad off exact topic here, if I may....
I came across another fellow sim racer who I admire known as Bratmouse. I think he is also very informative and helpful. He demonstrated how he believed that "Dirt Rally 2.0 and E-sport WRC" have helped his driving very much so within ACC. He also claimed that a couple of his Team mates on a race club he's a member of, of which one who is said to be very fast and well to do also claimed it was his experience as well from playing e-sport WRC, how it helped his driving within ACC or also maybe perhaps in general as a sim driver.
Have you ever experienced this or are you aware of this , or maybe do you have a tool or a sim you've used to help strengthen your abilities?
Along too with anyone else here who sees this, have you heard of this or experienced this with another sim?
Hey?.... Is that really a real window in your room there raining outside? It looks way cool.
I'm saving for my Sim Magic Alpha U and a couple of their wheels. ..... etc.... It i'll grow. I like my GT-DD pro and my CS 2.5 with Podium paddles, but I need something which will provide me with finer information like you've shown us in your wonderful vids! Thanx man!!
Pretty darn awesome!! AAA+ Love the shifter. I'm aiming to get "Good"!
Great review, I think that I may opt for this one as I am keen on really dialling up the resistance for the shifter, which, as you demonstrated clearly. Usually, with these types of hardware that have blades and various holes, grooves, etc, maintaining/cleaning them could be difficult, especially if there is a dusty finish; what are your experiences?
It is with hallucinations sensors so dust won’t create problems for operation.
I have compressor however near my rig to blow the dust from my rig components at least ones a month 🤛
Come on man?!?! I'm still enjoying the shit out of the VNM SQ, now you bring this one out for consideration. I'm a sequential enthusiast too, within reason that is!
It is so fun slamming shifters, isn’t it 😁
I'm interested in the VNM SQ shifter, would you recommend I purchase it? I was also looking at the Simagic sequential shifter
@@Countrymusicnumber1 Do it! I'v all Simagic gear, but my shifter of choice is the VNM SQ.
@@Countrymusicnumber1 Simagic and VNM are very similar in terms of engagement as they work with same based mechanisms.
I have the feeling the VNM will last longer with the mechanics inside.
I can fully recommend those as well 🤛
Thanks brother for another in depth very detailed video with the passion we know and love you for.
The attention to detail in your editing is always so great. Hope you are well. See you in dortmund again later this year.
Big hug.
Thax bro🤛
Hope to see you next week in the Nurburgring 24h 😃
@@chepilevski ohhh you’re right. Lol as I’m currently in Nice for work I totally forgot about 24h. Of course. See you there brother.
Hey mate, would you recommend a moving heel plate for the VX pro for braking or not ?
Where is your prefer sequenzial shifter ?
Great video. What brand is the shifter?
That’s AW (another way) Tau Shifter V2
How is the shifting sound on this, is it quite loud in comparison to say the magshift? I'm looking for a decent shifter but isnt excessively loud..
On the light settings is quiter then the mag but if you want decent amount of lead will be almost same level in sound!
As someone pointed in the video, making it litter hade still good feeling but quite enough to use it in night driving.
In my opinion, all shifters are just loud enough to disturb other people in the house.
It is just the way they work!
wondering now though, I already have the thrustmaster sparco handbrake/seq shifter, and so now I'm wondering, should I get a seq shifter and use it as a handbrake or a new handbrake and use it as a shifter. Still a bit away from doing this, considering the lack of a rig, but asking for when the time comes
High end SQ shifters should only be used on solid sim chassis. These ain't no plastic toys!
@@jassonco My table isn't moving around really, and it works fairly well without noticeable wobble. Until I try something truly stiff like a nice rig
@@sheep7255 bro I think you underestimate this stuff lol
@@dinonuggies2276 Maybe not exactly what was shown in the video, but just something that has feeling compared to the tm sparco one I got rn, just linear feel through it all
@@sheep7255 well for me, in terms of shifters I agree with rbm in that its between this and the sg, (if budget allows this "upper midrange", but the thrustmaster tss also costs 300€ oc) and i chose the tao v2. Havent owned any others yet either tho.
If you wanna upgrade to a properly powerful dd in the future you need a good rig anyway, so its really really the most important upgrade imo. Plenty of cheap used Profile rigs out there and for the love of god... get a fuckin profile rig and not those shitty scam "tube" cockpits
I dont have the tss so I dont know how good it is in either Mode, but id say for most people the shifter is way more important, because even for rally you dont really need a handbrake at all since a scandi flick is afaik usually faster anyway. A shifter youll use all the time whatever car youre driving
hi friend, can I know where did you get the dashboard?
The dashboard in the middle console is from AW, the same producer of the shifter and the o e attached to the top of the cage is self made🤛
It's better than Moza SGP?
The Moza Shifter is great option for the money but it can’t compare with those in terms of stiffness 🤛
Tactile and sound is as good as SG shifter?
If set to similar strength, the SG feels to me perfectly bit better but this have the advantage to be set way stronger if that’s something interesting to you!
In terms of nice, again in similar strength they are equal but ones pump up the strength of this here it definitely becomes more noisy!
@@chepilevski Thank you for the reply! That's exactly the answer i was looking for! I own a SG v2 pro and the only thing i don't like about it is it's stiffness. I mainly play rally games and i need more power to satisfy my right arm lol. These products are my wishlist now!
