2:28 "Look at the front, where it says BIG LOTS real big!" LOL sorry I had to. But on a serious note, I regret to announce all of the Big Lots in my area will be closing. This was a nice look inside of a Cheyenne location.
Wow this is soo cool!! I’m from Nashville Tennessee and they never do anything like this to where you can go inside any former abandoned place so you’re lucky!!
Getting inside is a slippery slope, and that is likely and probably part of it for your area. Usually, channels like mine can't just go inside a place like this, and this one was definitely an exception to the rule.
I am amazed they didn't move their stuff to another store back when the store closed. I wonder if another store will be able to get a hold of most of it and use it for their own stuff. Shoot, the shopping carts are still very new.
times were tough growing up with grandma in texas, barley getting by , not much for anything but the trips to big spend hours just hanging out in the aisles , got to the point worker knew us haha good times 2000s
@@dogtownoon9791 Back in the late 2000s, Big Lots seemed to be the only place in town I could find those Cup O Noodles. At the time, all the other places in town seemed obsessed with other brands that do similar things.
@@supplanterjim I have one more thought. A Kmart Blue light (a plastic blinky light on top of a metal bar and wheels) was about 60. Pricy, maybe, but that was a unique piece that's hard to get that has remained a tangible memory to me of that brand. But 50 for a sign, yeah, I agree, that's insane. This is a generic sign that can be found at almost any store closing sale.
@@Optopolis : The thing which I thought was _especially_ weird about that contraption was the part which said "Music", as if somebody said to himself, "Hey, I bet we could pawn this thing off as some kind of sheet music stand or something."
@supplanterjim I noticed those tags said different various things like that. I have no idea, but maybe that's it, lol! It seems like they thought the issue was seeing purpose in the product, when in actuallity, maybe it was the price... But who knows, what do I know? XD
SAVE your rewards card. On December 27, Big Lots reached an agreement with Gordon Brothers to transfer the operation of up to 400 stores and two distribution centres to Variety Wholesalers, who will retain the Big Lots name.
@@wuddayameen There is that. I probably won't throw it out, Imma retailhead like that, I'll save stuff. That being said, the Cheyenne store isn't one that is going to Gordon Bros.

[1:58] Did I wake up in an alternate universe? When did a piece of cheap plastic attached to a strip of flimsy metal suddenly trade for $50?
@@supplanterjim Lmao!!
Tell me about it, prices on some stuff amazes me!
