Seeing the iPhone 13 Mini get a battery upgrade was one of the most exciting things about this year's iPhone event. The form factor of the Mini is incomparable but last year's mini had the deal breaker of its disappointing battery life. Seeing it suddenly be able to match the battery life of some larger phones suddenly makes it such a compelling device for me now.

Mini = MEGA !!! Im using 13 mini: excellent battery longevity, amazing display, speed and extremely handy. P.S. : Dont be fooled by the word "Mini" . The size is actually optimum, if youre not a fan of brick sized phones and the screensize is much much larger than the older 6s models. My friends who have 13/ bigger phones were awed by the ease of handling and style of 13 mini
Yeah it's pretty much the form factor of the iPhone 4 but since the display extends on the chin and the head it's giving heaps of screen real estate for the same form factor size.
I've been consistently getting 6+ hours of screen on time and approx 1+ hours of background usage before falling below the 10% mark. I have also been using shortcuts to optimise battery life and I am super pleased with how well it's turning out to be. Strongly recommend the 13 Mini if you are looking for a small/compact phone!
The phone is pretty good but it's expensive I'm literally getting iPhone 13 and 13 mini at the same price, just 1-2k difference between them. It should be reduced in price like 60k-62k

Got the iphone 13 mini yesterday, pink one ofc anddddd I love it. Coming from an iphone xr, not as small as people say it is, unless you're upgrading from a huge phone like the pro max. Screen size is enough, camera on point, and speed is there. Still testing out the battery but so far, very good.

The way I use my phone is for social media, couple of photos, internet searches, Spotify and couple TH-cam videos, with 75% usage on Wi-Fi and 25% on mobile data. Kinda sucks that you may have to get a MagSafe battery from Apple to have the phone last for the entire day. I started at 6am and it lasted until 7:30pm ish. Was not on phone all day. I guess I ended up trading battery life for camera quality, the pink color, and a more portable phone, which were all important things for me. If battery life is very important to you and you want your phone to last in a day use, I would go for the iPhone 13. For me, I wanted a different size and look, and the pro max was too big
iPhone 12 mini user here, now iPhone 13 mini user (for the past 24hrs). I use my phone for "normal" use (pics here and there, calls for work, music, and the occasional video) and I'm at 20% with no charger from 100% (24hrs later). Granted my call volume was lower than normal over the weekend so the week will be a better benchmark, but I can say without a doubt that if you want a phone for "normal phone use" you'll be more than fine with the 13mini. I don't game on my phone at all and don't shoot a ton of video, and I think that's who this phone is best suited for. The work week will be the real test, but I had no trouble with my 12 mini so I'm only anticipating the 13 mini to be that much better with the larger battery. I don't TikTok, snapchat, but I do use Insta a good bit and the mini holds just find for MORE than a day for me. Bottom line..... if you're face down in your phone all day, the mini is probably not going to meet your needs. If you want a phone that gives you all the perks of the bigger 13 (regular size) with a smaller form-factor, the mini is the shit.

The 13 mini is such a huge upgrade in every way. Anyone who says different made the wrong choice to save $50 to get the 12 mini and the downgrades that go along with it.
I think you should change a few settings, because if the phone does too much in the background, the battery will drain faster. Look at the location services and turn off what you don't really need, then the battery should last longer. And of course auto brightness also plays a big role, as you said. Nice Video
Your battery test is very irritating! 2h 52min?! The i phone 13 mini battery lasts longer than iphone 12 or iphone 11. So how could you come to your conclusion that there is no improvement?
never been a fan of big chunky phones. to me a phone is something that should fits comfortably in your pocket. everyone to their own, the mini checks all of the boxes I need.

wanted to get the 13 Mini but was scared of the battery and wanted 120hz so I got the 13 Pro and yesterday on day 1 I got 7hr of screen on time with 10% left from 8:30am to 1:30am pretty freaking awesome battery life so far :)
I think you're not really in the target group of the 13 mini. I think it's really made for people who want a small phone and don't use their phone more than 3 or 4 hours a day. It's perfect for me because I use my Ipad for many things so I don't use my phone that much. But the battery of the pro is insane indeed

@@carlx3358 there are a few key differences between the 12 and 13 1. iPhone 13 base memory is 128GB vs 64GB 2. Camera sensor improved (same as 12 pro max) 3. Brightness went up (800 nits vs 625) 4. Battery improvement (13 mini has better battery life than the regular iPhone 12) If you have an extra $100 I would highly suggest getting the 13 mini. I know a lot of people pay the $50 to upgrade storage from 64GB to 128, which would only make the 12 mini $50 cheaper than the 13 mini. Something to think about when deciding which to purchase.

I feel the same. If they made the mini up to 1 mm thicker than the other iPhones it could match their battery life and it will still be “mini” enough compared to the others. That would make so much more sense.
So this might sound odd but I have the 12 mini and I think the 13 mini camera really is better. It looks awesome. You really can tell the difference!! I used my 12 mini for about 4 months but the battery really got to me so I went cwith my 12 pro max but I’m happy to see the 13 mini has a battery upgrade.

To be honest. I believe the Samsung S10e from 2019 is much better deal imo. It has a SD855 processor, 8gb Ram, 256GB storage and 3100mah battery (that lasts all day) for 1/5 the price. Plus it has wireless and reverse wireless charging and samsung dex. I was seriously thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 13 mini but I actually found it to be a bit too small and iphone 13 too big. The samsung s10e is a 5.8 inch screen and fits perfectly in between. I would highly recommend people to look at this option as well. Hope this helps.
Must admit I love my S10e.. but unfortunately time to.upgrade and can't get it again.. pity.. I would have stuck with it.. From a size perspective and the phone selection we were given led me to consider the iPhone 13 mini.. so I truly hope I'm not going to be disappointed..

For the people coming from a 12/Pro: I started my day with 100%, had 7 hours of SOT and the battery was at 28%. This is honestly impressive and I don’t think my 12 Pro has ever done that. (I was at home on wifi, and nope I didn’t use the phone past midnight yesterday night, the 7 hours of SOT are from the present day)

Definitely get the 13 mini!!! The battery is way better and for nearly the same price you get the new base model with 128GB!!! Plus: it has the camera of last years Pro Max!
seems the 13 mini is the best choice for my use case. because, im not playing games on smartphones and i really liking the form factor. using app such as messaging, facebook, instagram and youtube seems normal use. if i want to see some movie, i just use my ipad mini.

Totally agree. And my 12 mini was down to 84%. Traded it in for the 13 mini for $69, no brainer.

That’s crazy I got 5 hrs of screen time with 1 hr of FaceTime over a 16 hr period. I was at 20% at the end of the day lol.
I think the battery makes it a longer time if you use WiFi and not that much camera

Battery seems a bit lower than what others were getting. I read that Spotify has a major battery drain bug on iOS 15 that they are fixing.

Unplugged mine at 5am and had to plug in at 7:10pm. Use it for work seemed fine for me. I don’t play games on it so that probably helps

The lens flare is the only major issue with the iPhones and has been for a long time.

To be honest. I believe the Samsung S10e from 2019 is much better deal imo. It has a SD855 processor, 8gb Ram, 256GB storage and 3100mah battery (that lasts all day) for 1/5 the price. Plus it has wireless and reverse wireless charging and samsung dex. I was seriously thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 13 mini but I actually found it to be a bit too small and iphone 13 too big. The samsung s10e is a 5.8 inch screen and fits perfectly in between. I would highly recommend people to look at this option as well. Hope this helps.
Must admit I love my S10e.. but unfortunately time to.upgrade and can't get it again.. pity.. I would have stuck with it..
From a size perspective and the phone selection we were given led me to consider the iPhone 13 mini.. so I truly hope I'm not going to be disappointed..

I got 7 hrs but the battery was completely dead but that was a real heavy days worth of battery the 13 mini is legit this year I had the 12 mini also would be dead in 4 hrs

36 hours total, 8:30 SOT for my first days use of my 13 mini. Traded my 12 mini in. After 9 months, the battery health was already down to 90% and was lucky to squeeze 5 hours SOT. The 13 mini is such a huge upgrade in every way. Anyone who says different made the wrong choice to save $50 to get the 12 mini and the downgrades that go along with it.

For the people coming from a 12/Pro: I started my day with 100%, had 7 hours of SOT and the battery was at 28%. This is honestly impressive and I don’t think my 12 Pro has ever done that.
(I was at home on wifi, and nope I didn’t use the phone past midnight yesterday night, the 7 hours of SOT are from the present day)

Definitely get the 13 mini!!! The battery is way better and for nearly the same price you get the new base model with 128GB!!!
Plus: it has the camera of last years Pro Max!

seems the 13 mini is the best choice for my use case. because, im not playing games on smartphones and i really liking the form factor. using app such as messaging, facebook, instagram and youtube seems normal use. if i want to see some movie, i just use my ipad mini.
