      @@juxtopposed only $0.00 per month. niceeeeeeee

    • @GottZ
      @GottZ ปีที่แล้ว +14

      imagine putting a price tag on this..
      it would not spread as well and sometimes it's more valuable to have a decently accepted project than a dead one that only pays for a beer a month.
      also juxtopposed could use this to advertise other services inside the template examples.

    • @wxwefr

      No one would buy it since adobe color picker is free.

      @@juxtopposed i feel like changing the price to $0.00/year would make it a lot more digestible and may increase sales, as it's a much rounder number

    This is such a clean project and awesome explanation. It’s delightful, keep up the awesome work! One suggestion for the contrast scoring: use symbols (check mark, x, or AA, AAA) instead of colors (green, yellow, red) - they somewhat clash with the otherwise pristine color palette of the website itself

    • @KenHilton
      @KenHilton ปีที่แล้ว +55

      They're also impossible to read for people with my type of colorblindness - ironic given the accessibility purpose of the scoring!

      Icons would be Perfect for this and there could be multiple versions of the same icon so they are always visible in different scenarios, for example Dark icon on light colors, Light icons on dark colors, ...

    I just wanted to give my heartfelt gratitude for creating such a useful app. As a front-end developer, I struggled a lot to create UIs, specifically to select colors for UIs for my personal projects. But now, for my last few projects, Realtime Colors was a super lifesaver. The font preview feature was also super useful. Keep it up. All the very best. Thank You ♥️

    It's an awesome website for a mostly back-end guy like me who only occasionally do some front and design work (and mostly for my personal projects tbh). I'm quite bad with contrasts and palette, generally I have a two color idea and it's missing something. This and the coolors palette website help me a ton. Thank you for your work !

    I'm not a designer. I used to just randomly pick colors for years. Sometimes that worked fine enough. The moment I saw your earlier video announcing this project I messed around with the colors of my main project on your site and came up with an improved set of colors that work together way better now, I'm actually really happy with the design again and all I did was switch out 3 colors and redesign the nav sidebar a little. Thank you so much for all the work you put into this 🧡

    Just tried it out and man is it awesome! But something I noticed is that if you lock the a color, switching to dark or light mode can still change it. And that isn't bad, except that if you then switch back to the theme you locked it in, it won't always return to the color you locked.
    I get that it is using shades and trying to make the most of it, but I feel like the lock should lock.
    Other than that, this is incredible and I will be using it!

    I think it'd be great to add the ability to choose what feelings you're looking for colors to evoke, so you pick a feeling, and the system suggest you colors for that. And change in perception implemented by transformation on the color, e.g make it pop-up less - reduce saturation. And combine that with color theory schemes (not just primary and secondary, but things like split complementary, tetriadic, analagous, etc.) would be super useful.
