The red flag, to me is how many self-claiming to be Christian people can organize themselves to do wrongful, shameful, evil things for years and years and years... But *not ever* apologize..

The book of job was a red flag for me. I read it and knew it was offensive and a god who would do that was pure evil and unworthy of praise or glory and I ripped it of my Bible and the result was more brainwashing. They told me it should produce humility in me. I knew better but couldn’t break free because of fear. Job SHOULD have told his to eff off. Jeotha’s daughter is also brought about by a cruel sadistic god. I would like to know why she didn’t get the hell out of the country. Wonder how many years of mental care Isaac needed after knowing how willingly his dad was to murder him in cold blood when he had done nothing wrong. Wonder if Jesus, if he existed, suffered more than William Wallace who we know was real. Jesus, being god, came to earth and had a very bad weekend and then went 19:10 to heaven and be god again. William Wallace…hanged, drawn and quartered. Very unpleasant and he didn’t get to just go back and become god again. God deliberately hardened pharaoh’s heart so he could keep punishing Egypt where the Jews were never slaves in the first place. The idea of predestination seemed horribly unfair. God deliberately making some predestined to salvation and the others predestined to hell for eternity. The pastors teaching this all say it is absolutely fair because everyone deserves hell and it is great that they are predestined for heaven because of gods grace.

A red flag for me is the black and white thinking or "whoever is not for us is against us".

The deposition of roe v wade triggered immediate division in the religious community creating animosity and controversy which makes the Republican Party’s push for the 2025 Autocracy very visible and ongoing. Vote 💙

Christopher Hitchens noted the great literate societies throughout time. But yes take this all important message to illiterate sherp herders. What could go wrong?

The God of the Bible only causes wars and destruction of peoples, and only promises that and takes credit for that and winning gold and jewels that way, from the Plagues on Egypt to wars of conquest of Canaan to wars with empires over Jerusalem to the Apocalypse of the end times, but the people teaching the Bible expect you to root for all that, for just the few who win by that, and tell you not to question or test God, when your first question should be: Did those people who wrote the Bible get in touch with the right spirit?
