I always hated how quickly Aurora turned her back on maleficent. It was so obvious during dinner that the queen immediately was trying to purposely make her angry. Imo the first movie was better.

Aurora and Phillip really annoyed me in this movie, with how quickly Aurora turned on Maleficent and how Phillip was supposed to not know his own mother at all and supposedly be so clueless. It's a great movie, but that annoyed me a lot. And I agree with you, the Queen didn't have good motivation to do all that, but worse still is how her husband or her son were supposed to have no idea what she is really like or have any suspicions.
Well, I'm assuming they don't all hang out and watch movies at night. I imagine they're all very separated like most royal families in movies. King is more concerned about ruling, the prince explores ane what not, and she does Shady stuff while keeping face. It's not like a normal family
Everyone has a side they don't show anyone. That is Ingris. For Aurora, I think that's pretty normal of a reaction for someone who wants to impress the family of their soon-to-be-husband, and also having the awareness that Maleficent has that untrue reputation.
The Queen did have motivation though. The Moors had magic and resources, while she had to watch her people die. She didn't want to ask them for help or share, she wanted to kill all of them and take the resources.
Nah Aurora was on some bs
It was controversial back when this movie came out but I said this was Angelina's best performance. She had many great movies but this was HER best movie imo.
My problem with this movie is not Angelina's performance,but _the movie_ itself.
Bruh, it's not her tears that brought Maleficent back, she's a descendant of the Phoenix. They even told us what she was.
Yeah, I too found it odd how easily they pardoned Lickspittle.

Hey JV I really enjoyed this reaction, but for a movie request I would recommend the box trolls 2014. It is one of my favorite movies and it was produced by Lakika studios who are the same guys who made coraline, paranorman, and kubo so I think that you would really enjoy this move.
The queen’s motives were because the Moors are abundant in riches. Remember her telling the story about watching her people dying. The Moors had plants, herbs, fish, etc.

This movie made me C R Y Y Y Y Y Y Y ! Also, I was looking forward to this movie when it came out because I loved the first one, but then got even more excited when my favourite musician, Miyavi, was going to show up as one of the fey -- the white fey that was teaching the kids house to fly (edit: the one you call the white wizard XD). He's been doing more acting and even voice acting (Arcane's Finn) so it's fun to be able to see him on North American media :D
They recasted the prince in this movie so he’s not the same one from the first movie but same character
I love the 1st"Maleficent"movie and I think it's criminally underrated,but *this one* makes no sense. In the 1st movie we knew nothing about Maleficent's parents,we didn't even get a justification about why such a sweet,innocent creature was called _Maleficent_ as a birthname and not as a nickname _after_ she got pissed and cursed Aurora,and in the 2nd movie we *still* know nothing about her name and her parents but we find out there's a whole bunch of _other_ creatures like her spawned out of thin air?🤦♂And,most importantly,the whole concept of the 1st movie was that the classical story of the Sleeping Beauty we know it's a legend and that the _true_ story is the one narrated in the movie,where Maleficent is *not* actually a Villain(or better,she's a _temporary_ Villain)and she and Aurora went actually along for the majority of the time,so how is it possible that this queen can make eveyone believe Maleficent is evil *while BOTH her and Aurora are still alive and totally capable of proving her wrong?!?!* 🤦♂💢

While I dislike the first film for not being a remake that focused on Aurora and Phillip, I despised the sequel for essentially feeling like a rehash, as well as Maleficent's origins feeling rushed and out of nowhere, as well as her bond with Aurora being broken so easily.
...why would a movie called Maleficent be focused on Aurora and Philip? lmao
