Honestly ascended turning into ark 2 would be crazy but not a bad idea or completely unrealistic either. It could honestly revive the franchise at such a level and make the meta fantastic! But I’d just be happy if they could work on each map and finish it nicely like they did with scorched and work on the maps like you said like every month or 2 with the release of new things in between. Honestly wild card is on much better track and seems to actually be active with fixing some of the things with asa and not taking long. So i am excited to see what happens with the entire game to be honest.
Also I'm pretty sure it was near the launch of ASA but they did actually state that they have a separate team that's working on ark 2 within wildcard.
Been a huge improvement to server crashes lately so hopefully things are headed in the right direction
The surprise announcement was said to be “gameplay related” so having ARK 2 inside of ASA is definitely plausible.

Pretty sure that would be the actual final nail in the coffin. ASA is one of the worst looking games I've ever seen. It looks worse than any game I can recall playing on the last 2 or 3 generations of consoles.
It's so horrendous that you gotta wonder how they manage to make it look so incredibly bad in the year 2024....
@@aBadWizard playing it on my Series X and it looks pretty good. Obviously there is issues but calling it a horrible looking game is a stretch (Series S and low end PCs is the only thing I can think of that it looks unbearable to look at)

@teach So….. was playing around in creative mode on my server and discovered a fun little quirk….. if you use a number higher than 1 when using the cheat setimprintquality command you can stack imprint buffs. This 100% affects their health, melee, and movement speed. My 150 wild take giga was able to literally fly across the map at near light speed without being in run mode. And was biting for over 36k on the training dummy….. at 80 for the modifier and 50 base melee. Also, you can add the imprint buff to tamed Dino’s even if the stat isn’t there for it in the inventory. Have fun.
They already have the majority of the new maps 80% complete. I think all that's left is polish. It sets them up for a trickle release while it's full steam on ark2.
Im fairly sure they said at the beginning of ASA and sometime between it and the timeline release is that there was going to be at least 1 NEW paid map for ASA. It probably couldn't be canonical with its location in the timeline, but that very well could be what it is.
Everything I've seen, lore wise, makes me think Ark 2 takes place on the planet Genesis crashed on, I'm not sure how the Earth player would move from Earth all the way to the other side of the galaxy. Maybe that superluminal transmission line or something that Rockwell hijacked gets restored?
My theory is that the surprise is Ark 2, but downscaled to a single map.
Yeh I feel like after extinction and ark 2 release, they drop all other asa content. I don’t mind that, I want ark 2!

A quick contradiction to your point about the fact that since we haven't heard anything about the center is why it's likely going to be delayed. We did just get Scorched Earth and they quite literally waited until the last moment to drop the trailer so they could still hit that June 3rd date if we're going to be optimistic. Definitely staying skeptical though

did they remaster ark because they may of wanted cross over from ark one to ark 2 it keeps the hole thing together rather than separate
I could imagine that there will be Seasons like in Fallout 76 or Conan Exiles
They would not develop ark 2 in less than a year lol. Think more like 4 to 5 years. If they plan to release Ark 2 this year, then that means it was in the polishing phase last year. Potentially 2 years ago lol. I think Ark 2 already exists in a playable form right now
I tried to rejoin last game on single player on asa scorched earth on xbox series x and it just takes me to the character creation screen.helpppppppp anyone know what to do
Teacher, please help!!, any solution for the drops lights that are no longer visible on Xbox series (console) Wildcard has released 3 updates from scorched to correct problems, but none of them have solved the fact that the Drops no longer have lights
You can simply mark the drop bag in your map….

As a player who started with ASA, I can’t see myself playing Ark 2 at least until I will be finished with all the upcoming maps, which will probably take me a few years.
Ark 2 is probably just the name of Shi Hai's new EV venture or smth 😂

I think Ragnarok will be delayed because the original creature vote, the magaraptor, is a moot point since they released it for the island. They need to do a new creature vote and they haven't. If they were releasing Rag in September they would probably be doing a creature vote right now for that map. Since no vote is occurring I think that map will be delayed.
That's possible but they could also just implement second place or screw us over by just removing gigantoraptor from the other maps and implementing it into the base game (not as a mod) as a Rag exclusive tame.

I picked up this game for the first time a month ago and can someone explain to me why it is so few people talk about the horrible pathing whenever you've got dinos on follow?
They get stuck on eachother constantly, they crowd and immobilize you despite follow distance on far soon as you stop, you take them to caves its a constant struggle to unstuck the dinos and in some cases the only viable option is to kill them rather then get them out, you go to a boss fight after weeks of preparation and the first thing they do is walk off into lava, fall through the world, or then you fall through the world... You ask a dino to come to you from 10 yards away in your base with nothing in between and the dino ends up stuck on a wall 50 yards furter away... I mean come on guys the game is 10 years old and the behaviour of npcs vs world is that of an early alpha access. How is everyone just cool with this? Its not even a difficult thing to fix(or atleast so I hear from devs who work with unreal engine), just a tedious one.
People talking about remastering and Ark 2 etc while a game about controlling and commanding dinos behave this poorly for 10 years.. I dont get this playerbase. How is this not a major talking point?
I try to take a convoy of mammoths with me to get wood and more than half of the time is spent getting them all unstuck.
@@FringeWizard2 Yeah land tames is impossible to take anywhere in a group. Birds are the only ones that dont constantly get stuck. But I brought a small pack of dimorphodons into the snow cave, fuckers got stuck everywhere. It was like trying to push glue through it. I eventually had to call an admin to kill them.
Megalodon pack for underwater caves? Pretty much mandetory, do you spend 5x more time getting them unstuck then actaully doing the cave? Yuuuuup....
It fucking blows my mind how the interaction between its npc assets and the world is still early alpha access level of polished after a decade of being sold for full price and I hear nothing about it.

Well one reason people have not been complaining for "years" is that on ASE the pathing was different and better honestly. this is the "NEW AND IMPROVED AI PATHING" for ASA and yeah its dogshit.
@@FringeWizard2 They were stuck inside walls/floors/ceilings, I couldnt even kill them, let alone cryo.
Now I just run through with a shotgun, lesser antivenom and health pots.. nothing else works.

We better hope they continue ASA production after Ark 2 releases cause the Soleslike lockon PvP game they are talking about in Ark 2 is not going to be a game everyone that likes ASE and ASA.

I'm curious why you presented the Ark Animated Series the way you did? Kind of released? How does that work lol. The show might be garbage but it did release on time.
To the US yes but rest of the world have to wait till 19th april. so technically they failed to meet that target
@@Lornda My understanding, and common sense would tell you, that the release timeline globally is the result of a marketing deal... not a production delay. Obviously the show was complete and released on time. I'll grant you they never explicitly said it would be US/Canada exclusive but they also never explicitly said it would be available globally either. I think you're accusing them of violating an expectation they never said and that it isn't necessarily reasonable to infer.
If it vame out it would be terrible timing! I just bought into ASA! Why would i jump to ark 2!
They dont have to provide more content for ascended. They better fix the game than bring new content

In the live stream you keep referencing they literally said there is more CANONICAL MAPS coming in ASA. Idk what drugs you have to make that erroneous connection. Ark 2 ASA update that's just absurd.

Your a bit off about SOTF. The game mode was VERY popular on release and was a lot of fun. Never given any reason, it was gutted and then dropped all together. The island wasnt and still isnt running 100% which made this game mode almost unplayable. They then removed the boss's right before killing it. People were playing and streaming and making content with SOTF and Im pretty sure that it would take off again if given a working game. Once again shoddy worked and rushed content bit ASA in the A@@, pushing people back to ASE and with the machine requirements for ASA being the barrier for most people, I dont know that it can change anytime soon. People keep forgetting about the mass of people who want to but still cant even play ASA.

Love yer content Teach, but until ASA can be run by the minimum requirements it will never garner the player count the Devs/Pubs are needing to stay afloat. Its just a fact the game is still after long long months of development a unoptimized mess. You cannot blame UE5, as there are numerous titles that run UE5 and are just as intensive as ASA that actually run, and run well. Keep on teaching amigo.

They can't develop one game correctly. I can't even play Scorched without crashing. 44 bucks for an icon on my home screen. They need to shelve Ark 2 and focus on fixing and getting the maps done for ASA. Wild Card does not have the competency to work on 2 games.

Really don't care. Originally ASA was supposed to be a free upgrade to all existing ASE owners. But then they got greedy and decided not only to charge everyone $60 for what was to be a free upgrade, but then shut down ALL support for ASE basically forcing anyone who wished to still play Ark to fork over money. F*ck them.
