Im a big fan of ratty old Mopars! I appreciate the video. I'm currently working on a couple of my own. My next project is the disc brake conversion on my wife's 66 Charger. I bought it with the kit included. I'll post it on my channel.

Hello Dave. I am glad I found you here. I wanted to say that was nice work you did on Graveyard Carz. Most of all I really enjoyed seeing how you were training and mentoring the female apprentice. I really respect highly skilled tradesmen that know how to teach and motivate apprentices; it is a beautiful thing.

    Dave,
I have this same kit on my 69 Charger, the only thing I have not liked about this kit is the brake booster adapter pushes the brake booster out so far and covers up the driver side of the engine. And I also had to run 1/4 spacers in the back for my 15” factory wheels to fit and not rub the back of the rims. Great video, keep up the great work!!!

I have the same kit also but I removed that adapter bracket from the booster and mounted it directly to the bracket on the firewall it looks stock and functions great, I dont know why that bracket is even on there

Barry Bentley Thank you for the advice, I am definitely going to be removing that bracket tomorrow.

Barry Bentley I just got done removing the brake booster and bracket from my 1969 Dodge Charger and your information Barry is bogus. It does NOT fit without this bracket unless you are planning on drilling holes in your factory firewall. I tried this with both a manual brakes car as well as a power brakes 1969 Charger, and neither will work without modification.

@@justinroberts5400 Im sorry I should have specified I did it on my 1969 Roadrunner, Im not sure firewall is same or not but I have been running without the bracket for 3 years now, no drilling firewall, mounted right up to firewall looks stock, its the same kit shown in the video from The Right Stuff

Can you provide the Green Bearing part number? Can you use that to replace an axle bearing regardless if you do the conversion? Thank you

RUST CONVERTER whit phosforic acid base can be very helpfull or rust remover whit acid for the flor and interior at least.

Nice! Question off topic for the CUDA! What wildwood brakes did you go with for front and rear? I'm restoring my 1973 Cuda right now with my dad. Looking at going Willwood all the way around. Not sure on what size. I am gonna run 18in rims

Now I know why I never had that adjuster on my rear axels I must have green bearings

I have a 73' Challenger Rallye 340 4 barrel. Dave what can you recommend on getting the Thermoquad functioning properly? A couple of years ago a professional "rebuilt" the carb and it still faulty. It only runs decent with 2 barrels; anything beyond that the motor falls on its face, as if secondaries are not opening or it is totally leaning out? I seldom drive the car so it is not a huge deal but I am just tired of it.

I would not want a driver car that has a nice paint job because I would be so concerned about rock chips ans scratches that's why I would leav it like it is and drive it with the old patina look that way if it get's a dent or rock chip it will just add to the character of the car that's all.

    For a four disk conversion
You need to install a master cylinder
With enough fluid capacity for disk brakes, that master cylinder is for a
    Disk/ drum setup not a disk/ disk

    • @DavidReaDBRestorations
      @DavidReaDBRestorations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

This is the correct master cylinder for this application, it is compatible for a disc/disc setup.

Rough! I'd drive that car everywhere.....but not in the rain. Cool car driving it is better than sitting.... Fix it a little at a time as you go. Later haters!
