Citing Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter as major emotional influences, blurring that in waves of French influenced musique concrete, presenting as a simple guy, a hard boiled cross dresser, a purist blues guitar hero and a plastic looking suburban female straight out of a Cindy Sherman photo are all very performance art oriented.

i’m a huge fan but 1: this was supposed to be a sort of les rallizes denudes trib show, which this performance had nothing to do with 2: watching someone perform karaoke with an mp3 track was/is always really really boring. but that said the new record is phenomenal
