Great videos. I’m enjoying them. I stayed at the same albergue in Estella as you two did. It was so nice to see it as I met volunteers there who helped me, resulting in a positive turning point in my Camino. I look forward to watching the rest of your Camino adventure. Ultreia!
aww amazing! sorry we'll miss you. let us know if you have any questions we can help you with. It's Chris' second time and Grace's first so we have lots of perspective.
Red wine mixed with coke called in Germany "Diesel" like the fuel or "schmutziges" (dirty) the famous Jesuy y maria alberque, i will never forget this prison ;-)
Hahaha we don’t know which name we like better. Chris isn’t a fan because he doesn’t like coke, but Grace enjoyed it. That’s the only time we’ve tried it if that tells you anything 😉 and thankfully Jesus y Maria is behind us. 200 snoring pilgrims performing the only concert we’ve wanted to leave 😂
Thanks for sharing! Starting to plan now for a trip next summer with my 11 year old son, Have you seen any families with kids walking? Are you walking this now?!
Very nice! That will be some adventure! You and your son will have an incredible time. But to answer your question: yes. It’s very doable with children and while I have not seen many many children or families walking the Camino; there are some. And actually a Spanish woman in our little Camino family is walking with her very young son (around 11 or so). You definitely wouldn’t be the first! And yes, my wife and I are walking it now!
@@TheRoamingRosses So cool! Thank you for the reply. My son and I will be following you and your wife on your journey. Thanks for sharing this experience with all of us. Wishing you a healthy and happy journey. ✌️❤️😂🤙
My last Camino in 2018, I stopped at the cafe at 2:00 and sat on my sunglasses and busted them. Of course, I had just that morning, left my backup pair behind at my albergue to save weight. I'll try to keep them intact when I leave for my next Camino in 62 days...not that I'm counting down or anything.
It’s a very personal thing. Chris loves his Gandalf staff and I (Grace) love my trekking poles. It’s great for that extra push going uphill or for when you feel like you need an extra hand for balance. If you regret your decision to not pack them you can always pick them up here.
very nice video

We stayed at Jesus and Maria Albergue too. First experience with no toilet seats and coed bathrooms. LOL
