    ¡ULTREIA! I’ve enjoyed your Camino almost as much as mine. As you come closer to Santiago, take a little longer, make it last and enjoy so many of the sights and people you will continue to find. Treat yourself to a pulpo 🐙 a la gallega meal in Melide. It’s the best.
    As you reach Santiago, be prepared for many mixed feelings: the thrill of accomplishment for finally arriving, and the sadness for saying farewell to the many friends and experiences of the Camino. Be well and enjoy. Buen Camino ❤

      Thank you so much, brother! That’s so amazing to hear. We’ve loved our Camino thoroughly and can’t wait to continue sharing it. We ate so much good food in melide! Tons of mixed emotions, but we’re ready to feel all of them! Buen camino! ❤️

    Great views. 'The Rain in Spain falls mainly on the plane.' Powering along! That is one huge Cow! OOPS! Many huge cows 🐄 Your bathroom experience Grace, is the reason we will not be staying in Albergues. Cannot imagine all the snoring, pooping and the rush in the morning to get on the road again. Enjoying your vlogging. Buen Camino. By the way that little dog was very cute. I'm not wanting your Camino to end.

      Yes with the affordability and convenience of albergues comes some pretty rough negatives as well 😂 we’re so happy you are enjoying it! The next vlog hopefully will be up today! 🤙🏻

    Saw another video recently of two newlyweds on the Camino. All I can say when it comes to wives, you definitely won the prize.

    From Dayton, Ohio and hike with the Colemans back home. I will be doing my second Camino next year and am currently enjoying both of your blogs on the Camino. Buen Camino and congrats on your nuptials!!!!

      That’s so amazing! Such a small world! We still need to watch the Coleman’s vlogs. Maybe we’ll all meet up back in Ohio! 🤙🏻

    I was wondering if either we totally walked the wrong way or you were not on the right Camino....because I was not recognizing a lot of the scenery as you walked this portion....so, now I feel better that you had taking a scenic route....But, it looked very pretty. My son and I loved this climb into O' Cebrero. We walked it May 26-June 30/23.... and that story about the guy pooping in the bathroom is hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing....

    It poured the day we walked up the hill to O’Cebreiro, the trail was all muddy. I had lost my hiking poles a couple days prior and thought I would do a face plant a few times. However, made it safe and sound. Buen Camino

    • @TheRoamingRosses
      @TheRoamingRosses  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yikes! That sounds very rough, especially without hiking poles! It wasn’t TOO muddy thankfully, but still a hard climb regardless. No face plants all around sounds like a pretty great success 😂 buen camino to you!

    Didn't see this vlog before. You took the hard way. The normal route is down below on your left. Actually until you make the ascent to O'Cebreio it's a pretty easy walk.

    Don’t feel that bad your alternative direction from Villafranca was only a 1km more, yes the altitude change was a kick in the but to do but a worthy alternative than road walking

    • @TimmyTours
      @TimmyTours ปีที่แล้ว

      The distance on the alternative is 11km to Trabadelo or the normal route to Trabadelo is 10km only 1km difference not 11km

    I took that route out of Villafranca as well. I wouldn't change it. Loved the sunrise views. Next time I'll probably just go through the valley though...in the uh, interest of seeing something different. ;)

    • @TheRoamingRosses
      @TheRoamingRosses  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grace probably would change it, but I know I wouldn’t. The sunrise views from up there were definitely something else. Glad we weren’t the only ones! 😂

    We had a terrific sunset at that albergue in O Cebreiro. I hope you enjoyed it. Buen Camino!

      We did! Both of the sunsets and sunrises all throughout Galicia so far there have been absolutely spectacular! ❤️ buen camino!

    Love following your journey & congrats on your wedding - what a honeymoon! Gosh, that's so cool to see you meet up with the Colmans - I'm watching their journey as well 😊 Question for Grace: what liter size pack is she carrying on her back and would she go lighter?

    • @TheRoamingRosses
      @TheRoamingRosses  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Super cool that we happened to run into them on the trail and actually have a conversation with them! We actually live super close to each other! Grace has a 45 liter pack and although looks big because of the frame, it’s actually very very light. So no it’s perfect for both the Camino and carry on luggage size for flights.
