very nice instruction. love the techniques. Does this type of saw use a pull or push orientation of blade. also anything special on "drilling" a bandsaw blade?
Thank you for the comment. I use it on the push stroke but you could put the blade in either way and try it. As for drilling, just a sharp bit and a drill press to keep it from squirreling around.
thanks for the comment. No the curve in the shape does the job. If you're making a straight sided one then a groove is helpful. See my folding saw. I make the groove with a chain saw file. Thanks again
Very good, I've been thinking of building one, and this looks like the ideal video tutorial. You mention that a parts drawing is available, I cannot seem to find a link anwhere, would you mind sharing the link please?
TH-cam does not facilitate uploading files like pdf of jpg. This link should work for a dimension video. I recommend you take screen shots of the 2 images and scale to fit. th-cam.com/video/vWwEusjFkuE/w-d-xo.html Let me know if it works.
What a great video. Thanks for posting. I may try it in some red oak I have. Maybe ash.
Thank you for the comment. I think Ash sounds really great. I love this little saw, I'm sure you'll enjoy using it. Thanks again for watching.

Do I have to make a groove for the string.

A wonderful tool turned out. Thanks for the work and a good video.
Thank you for the comment. I use this saw all the time to rough things out in place of a jig saw. Thanks for watching.

I’ll prepare a short walk through of the dimensions
Give me a few days

I can't make this in my small garage shop. No lathe.
Thanks for watching. You could use 1/2” dowels for where the handles go through the frame and have square handles
Just a thought
Ok, thanks. I need to work on thinking outside the box. @@makingthings1463
@makingthings1463 what if I want it to have a 6.5 inch blade?
Shrink it down @@timlist4173
I agree. Shrink the whole saw or it would be unwieldy
How to get paid
