The old one, the new smg4 has drastically gotten more different and i feel like its gotten tad bit dry. Glad theyre doing what gives them joy. The devs of mm also said that they didn't like the character that much.
Man, as a SMG4 fan, this fanmade mod of MM V2 is nostalgic, I can hear a reference to Unknown Suffering 1:19, such a shame a very good song got scrapped but SMG4 Mario deserves some love!

SMG4 is an acquired taste, whether you take the new episodes into account, or the classic episodes. I also wanna say, he didn't fit the narrative very good. SMG4 has already made FNF episodes. Classic SMG4 might work for the mod, but even then, not in any particularly meaningful way. Just a silly nod at best. I don't blame them for scrapping it, but as it is now, I would have liked to see it in the mod. Just as a silly reference. Would just be kind of silly to think Ultra M would own SMG4 too. He can have Chris Pratt, but not SMG4 Mario.

SMG4 made their own fully functional mods for their FNF parody videos back when the games were at the height of their popularity. I think they released their Mario model for public use, too.

I have a theory of why unknown suffering is reference in the song 1:19 it’s because when SMG4 went absolutely insane everyone made SMG4 sing unknown suffering I love the reference if this is true.
I said this before on the actual video, so I’ll just say it again here, lol. Songs a bit more relaxed then I was honestly expecting given SMG4, but I think it works to its own advantage. This song has a very nostalgic feel to it. Which is fitting for me. I think my only concern, which isn’t even that bad, is that I felt like the modern memes (what the dog doin’ and lead pipe) felt just slightly out of place here. I mean if the song was going for a more nostalgic feeling, it would’ve been nice to go for one of the older memes that were popular at the time. But then again I’m not sure what would be a good replacement for those.
