I LOVE English history which started when I went to school in England in the late ‘60’s. I know more about the Kings and Queens than I do about the Prime Ministers of my own country 🇨🇦…shameful! Lol. Your history is so interesting and prolific. Thank you for keeping it alive.
I thought I knew from Eddy 4 to now, but after listing them I checked my ruler (bought at Westminster Abbey last summer, lol) and I missed Wm & Mary and Queen Anne. Still, not bad for an American.
English Heritage: Name the wives of Henry VIII Me, a theatre nerd: 🎶My name is Catherine of Aragon, was married 24 years, I'm a paragon of royalty, my loyalty is to the Vatican so if you try to cross me, you wont' try that again. I'm that Boleyn girl, and I'm up next, see, I broke England from the church. Yeah I'm that sexy! Why did I lose my head? Well my sleeves may be green but my lipstick's red. Jane Seymour, the only one he truly loved. (Rude!) When my son was newly born, I died. But I'm more than I seem, or am I? Stick around and you'll suddenly see more. Ich bin Ana of Cleves. (Ja?) When Henry saw I portrait he was like ja! But I didn't look as good as I did in my pic. Funny how we always talk about that but never Henry's little... Prick up your ears, I'm the Catherine who lost her head. For my promiscuity outside of wed-lock up your husbands, lock up your sons, Kate Howard is here and the fun's begun! Five down, I'm the final wife. I saw him to the end of his life. I'm the survivor, Catherine Parr. I bet you wanna know how we got this far. I said I bet you wanna know how we got this far.🎶
I, as an American, should not know more about English monarchs than the British people you interviewed. (Me shouting at the television: “No! That’s George the FOURTH! The FOURTH!” Et cetera.) It’s probably thanks in no small part to watching English Heritage that I know as much as I do, so thank you very much. Now, to set my alarm for 4:00 am so I can watch the coronation live.

_Yes._ I know the whole thing, and I'm not remotely British, so this was hilarious.
We were excited to get some of the questions answered correctly 😂
