I am Maori from Aotearoa ( new zealand) I have learnt more from listening to Rajiv Malholtra speak on the subject of colonialism and learnt more and have received a greater understanding from this man than any Maori scholar could ever understand, As Rajiv has said, their are Indians that do not want to rock the boat and the same goes for Maori. Kia Ora E pa, thank you Sir for your knowledge and wisdom.

I've been defending and attempting to cultivate Dharmic philosophy in various debates with my Muslim colleagues/neighbours in Bangladesh and have been called an RSS supporter, Hindu cow worshipper, Modi lover, and Rajiv Malhotra supporter; as if they're derogatory things.
I didn't know much about Rajivji until I listened to his recent lecture at British Parliament. All I have to say is we need more people like him doing this kind of illuminating and important work. I don't think many truly grasp the gravity and momentousness of his efforts; especially in the current world climate.
I hope to hear more lectures from Rajivji, and in the meantime I shall carry on with my conversations and debates and in due course bring what is now Bangladesh back within the fold of Bharat and its Dharmic roots. That's if I don't manage to get myself killed first :)

In an ironic twist of words; you may consider doing so in an anonymous fashion with the internet being your domain for exchange of ideas and discussion thereof. Learning the rules of staying anonymous on line may benefit you as well.

Vishesh Bansal, I tend to avoid conversing/debating with batshit crazy older generation of muslim mullahs. I've found them to have a very narrow radius of understanding and ability to reason.
I once asked why Muslims in Bangladesh adhere to a Abrahamic doctrine from an Arab who apparently flew on a winged horse to the edges of the cosmos to some place called heaven? And if this was allegorical or literal?
They went absolutely ballistic and warned me not to question their religion. I asked how one can ever reach any manner of truth without questioning things? Whether it be philosophical, political, religious, scientific or things dealing in metaphysics?
Bharat has always been a culture of seeking. This is in the very fabric of our Sanskrit language.
You know, I think language is not just a form of communication, but different root languages form and shape the philosophies and cultures of the people who speak a particular language.
Semitic language, culture and religion is an invader to Bharat and is not compatible with Dharmic culture and should have remained contained in the Middle East.
Needless to say I have become very unpopular in my town amongst some people in the community, but it's ok :)
I'm not an educated person (never went to college due to family circumstances) but still I find its sometimes easier to reason and debate with the younger college/university generation; many of whom tend to be more open minded when it comes to things of this nature - especially regarding topics Rajivji is dealing with.
They are the minds of the future and perhaps can be persuaded through reasoning and philosophical cultivation in returning to the Dharmic roots of our ancestors?
Anyway, I think I've written too much in one comment :)

I suggest you retort respectfully , but , in their own terms. If we are called RSS supporter , Hindu cow-worshipper etc., SO WE ARE. Why do we have to feel defensive and shy away from giving a straight-forward answer. , For, we know for sure, they are not derogatory terms. They are merely a different way of thinking and being. Mutual respect is earned by being True to ourselves. Being proud of Who we really are.Do we not support Rajiv Malhotra and/ Modiji /? If that is true, what's the harm in admitting . Unless, we are really not supporters of these people and Sangatthans, then, really no problem exists. we are in the same boat , as the attacker is in . Then simply agree with them . Our problem, due to the complex that is artificially created in us, and, our lack of knowledge , keeps us withdrawn and not assert our right to be DIFFERENT WITH A MIND OF OUR OWN. Main reason is, our knowledge of our Own Dharma is shallow and superficial. This applies to our social and Cultural issues. human Rights matters and many other aspects .

Even I've listened to this story of "there was no India before the British" hundreds of times. And bang on by Rajiv ji, by citing hard facts which nobody can refuse why India as a cultural unity predates all the history taught in Indian schools! In fact I believe that, Indian history by far predates all the modern western history, which is hard for the westerners to accept!! And Rajiv ji stresses on another powerful matter - "there is no perfect society." So, rather than trying to correct Indian society, the westerners should first take care of themselves, and the intellectual sepoys in India, who pick one incident and start shouting that, whole Indian society is oppressive and intolerant and all sorts of nonsense, should come to their senses, and rather than trying to divide the people more and more, try to DO SOMETHING to solve some real issues and help in building a healthy and positive society..
    Jai Sri Ram 🙏

    • @MrDillbud

He, like Modiji , does not work for Awards.
The fact the Award Wapsi gangsters returned their awards was because they did not deserve them in the first place.
That is why , it was their guilt that made them return the undeserved awards. But , their cowardice did not let them admit their guilt. They hid their defects by shoving it all on BJP and Modiji .

TakeAbackpack Kr. I agree Rajivji Deserves Praise. Just sharing my thoughts. But, the awards have lost their value by being awarded to undeserving traitor folks. Award Wapsi has proven this truth.Thinking, walking, Being a SELF_RESPECTING, HONEST HUMAN BEING IS MORE IMPORTANT.Furthermore, comparisons even between equals in nobility are odious.(eg., comparing Rajivji with Sachin). Both are playing in different fields as well. Sachin is indeed! a cricket hero. But, in the Rajya Sabha, he got bamboozled by riffraffs and gundas. I am sorry , this will hurt your feelings. Exactly , my point . Comparisons are odious and obnoxious to say the least.
Modiji with raulvinci, does that have any meaning at all ? Obnoxious.vinci is not even a humanoid. That family and their stooges, be it any Anti-National party , have sold their own souls(Souls are mortal, perishable and salable), NOT so , AATMAN. We Bharatiyas, have to stay focused on THE CORE ISSUES.Not get distracted with things like awards. Awards are lollypops to ruin a Human Character.

The Mughal Rule does not disappear on its own; instead it was initially checked and finally decimated by Marathas. We need to remember the 27 Years of Epic Battles starting from 1680 to 1707 till the death of Jihadi Manic Aurangzeb, The mighty war between Mughals and Marathas. Let’s not forget the fact that Mughal Army was the largest army of world of that time. Finally the Mughals lost their 15 lakh soldiers in 27 years and with the death of their king finally succumbed to Marathas who became the Mightiest Power of 17th Century who not only rolled back the Jihadi Tide of Islam by conquering the Delhi in 1720 but finally Defeated the Jihadist Till Attock in Afghanistan and flurried the Saffron Flag over Hindu Kush after 800 years from the defeat of Hindu King Trilochan Pal

    • @MrDillbud
      @MrDillbud 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

We also have to remember, that when the brits took over the reigns from mughal , mughals did not all disappear from Bharat Bhoomi overnight . one of the kotwals, hid behind a Hindu name, motilal nehru , and slyly waited for an opportune moment to grab hegemonistic rule .To this day, Indians are deprived of that truth.

Brits did not took rule from Mughals. They succeded Hindu Marathas. It should be remembered that Battle of Delhi was fought between Maratha Empire and British... The Mughal Clown was just a titular first of Marathas and then of British. .. It was this time when the marathas started ruling the India all the Temples near Delhi and within Delhi were restored to their glory. ALL TEMPLES OF MATHURA ARE BEST EXAMPLE OF THIS.

Rajiv ji is turning on its head, the plan for the destruction of Bharat that has been put in place over centuries. Many of us talk about these issues, but often we do so in our own echo chambers. Challenging the perpetrators on their own territory, was a mind blowing experience for me. He is an inspiration for me, not only in the substance of his fight, but in his single minded focus on the truth, and the courage and perseverance it has taken to come this far. I send prayers for Rajiv Jis welfare and good health, every time I sit in meditation. Aum Namah Shivaye.

The most important point often missed out by many Dharmic Historians when it comes to invasion theory of India is that, long before the British the Mughal rule was defeated and decimated by Marathas. It should be remembered that all the 137 major battles (except Battle of Plassy) were fought between Marathas and English to establish their suzerainty over India. Battle of Delhi 1803 was fought between Marathas and British and only when the British won the battle they were able to establish their rule in North India.

      Baba ji ki jai ho,
This was a lie nehru had to live to rule over us. He was a musalman. Of course ! he will twist the truth , for, his hatred for Hindus will be obvious in his unguarded moments. Then he has to hide the truth by asserting that he's a Hindu "unfortunately" ," by accident ", (that too he's admitted.) when in truth he was not a Hindu at all .,.
My father knew about his bluff as early as in the !950s, when he and others along with some MPs and leaders of Hindu/ Jain communities, went to see nehru, to demand for ANTI COW SLAUGHTER.
He scorned them, ridiculed them , refused to even take their Petition , when he had no right to do so. Indian Constitution demands that COW SLAUGHTER WILL BE BANNED IN INDIA.TO THIS DAY, EVEN AFTER THE PASSING OF LAW, WE HINDUS ARE DENIGRATED, DENIED OUR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS TO PRACTICE OUR DHARMA. THOUSANDS OF Highly Respectable SADHUS, Aachaaryas, Sanyasis,
WERE KILLED AND MAULED, MAIMED,their dead bodies improperly disposed off in ditches , DURING AN ANTI COW SLAUGHTER RALLY DURING INDIRA'S REGIME . TO THIS DAY, NO JUSTICE FOR THEM.
We Hindus put up with those insults and indignity to OUR DHARMA , SO Today, we see, tender calves being slaughtered in open area, while Hindus are helplessly watching this denigration of our MOTHER COW. shame on us Hindus.

    "Satyamev Jayate"
One of Rajivji's argument is that "we are not peace lovers we are truth lovers" by that he means we were never afraid of taking on adharmik views(not anti-religious "dharma is, may be roughly translated into righteous deed" but still it falls short in defining the word dharma) we always stood against such forces hand-in-hand, may be we forgot (or made to forget) our dharma paripalana so this is the right time to come back to our maarga i.e sanmarga(sath+maarga, the righteous path) ... I hope that every dharmik will join the team of this great margadarshak "Rajiv Malhotra"..

I do not understand why Moghuls are classed as colonisers. They lived in India and did not send the wealth of India abroad. Apart from Babur, rest of the Moghuls were born in India. Yes, Aurangzeb has terrorised the majority community i.e Hindus and Sikhs but that was religious fanaticism. 'Colonisers' is a phrase that applies to 19th century, I do not see it is appropriate to label Moghuls with this term. After all there were many Hindus who betrayed their own motherland by associating with the external enemy. How do you describe them. They were not even Sepoys.

    • @G4ceCosmos
      @G4ceCosmos 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Colonization - the action or process of settling among and establishing control over the indigenous people of an area. The Moghuls certainly did that first and hence need for correction and factual presentation in our history.
      2. Traitor - a person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc.

How do YOU prpose things of 100 years be reversed in 3 years? Hve people like you done ANYTHING to DEMAND such things? Have you begun to dicuss this IN YOUR SOCIAL CIRCLE? My personal experience i India among Indian? MMy OWN FAMILY asked me to leave the room the moment I questioned thestatement ofone of their guests who is an Indian living in Canada bragging how all her grand children & adult children spoke ONLY ENGLISH, & were eating only THE WONDERFUL CANADIAN FOOD, & none of the "unhealthy Indian crap like chaptis & spiced up curries" But that was not what I questioned... I questioned her when she said "Even the American president is not allowed to take any decisions without first getting approval from Canada." That is when I could nolonger suppressmy laughter (which had begun when she began speaking english)... and she felt offended, my family felt offrnded, because allI asked was, her position in the Govt. to have this info... I won't even begin telling you when I so much as mention Hindutraditions, knowleedge, etc...

Finally, a real discussion and a real lecture--in the heart of the place that was the root of many issues, self esteem of nations, every nation trying to emulate their masters---how sad!! While I have heard several people put down Shri Malhotraji, we need more people like him. Because it is not easy to go into a Lion's den and call him to fight and then fight him. That is what he has been doing for the last twenty years or more. The reason people like him is 1. he is doing what many (academics) should be doing, but they avoid it to follow the west and enjoy their patronage. 2. Because he is confident, good and well read, his arguments are well thought out and are not mere emotional rants. One needs to think several times before questioning him. He has a clear direction. He remains a guide for so many of us. After listening him, I have become more vocal about these issues and express more freely. So, remain grateful to his work!!

When Rajiv ji used to tell that Indian diplomats must use soft power in negotiations, I used to get a lot of confusion. I thought it is impractical that the Asian nations which are often advanced economies than us.... will they listen to us when we start claiming that Indians helped in the building of that Nations' heritage. but now with the idea of soft power reparations, I think something solid of this idea is starting hitting me. I will follow his ideas for the and eagerly waiting to read his book on this subject.

The last vestige of colonial influences remains in our thoughts. Without freeing ourselves there we will not be able to come to realise our swa-swaroopa as Bharatiya. It is important to take the aid provided by Rajiv ji so painstakingly and apply it in both inner and outer Kurukshtra and stand alone as a Kshyatriya. One of perhaps many, under one-minute-[44:47-45:34]-take aways from the video, on his "central idea" and what he wants Britain and India to work together on:
"So, decolonization, it requires a grand-narrative project to go with it. You don't want to decolonize and leave a vacuum ... while you are decolonizing, you want to create a positive grand-narrative to replace it. So that project-the positive grand-narrative project-is totally antithetical to the intellectual elite that control[s] India studies today, and this is the central idea I have. So, I want Britain and India to work together on such a project and I am calling that, soft-power reparations." [close to verbatim]

For that to happen, the Poms first need to accept the genocidal atrocities and wholesale looting committed against Indians . They have to confess to the atrocity literature they authored, like Sati.
