If you look at the artwork for Doomsday Excruciator, it has 6 orbs surrounding it, 6 eyes, and 6 horns. Really love how Wizards went all in on the theme for this card!

Ran into a version of this in standard funny enough. Counter spells and kill spells with Jace as the mill help.

I used to use altar of dementia, in my goblins deck and when Krenko came out my friends would just quit when they saw goblins. The altar is so busted.

I used to run Fierce Empath in my Gruul deck 20 years ago
I stopped playing magic a decade ago
Fierce empath is the ONE card i recognize, since i had it in my elf deck. This was all Lorwyn & before; lots of token creation & tap untap shenanigans. Empath was there purely for the Kamahl grab should i need to find him to give stuff trample lol
I miss 2010 and earlier magic...
Seeing this deck exile out the giant piles that the opponents are playing is perfection.
That one dude looked at Chris' hand, READ the cards, and still picked the wrong card to take. Bless him.

My favorite part of this deck is that after you combo you can look through your opponents entire deck

@@sirius1320Exiled cards are not a deck. Just like your hand is not your deck and your battlefield is not your deck.
When the combo goes off, you can look through all the (zero) cards in your opponent's deck.

Chris, are you aware that there is a collection called 'Special Guest' and a card named 'Sacrifice'? (Instant - As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a creature. Add an amount of equal to the sacrificed creature's mana value.)
I think I'll make a version with combat damage prevention to make it a bit more consistent against rush.

@@bariltrailette he could play demonic counsel instead of fierce empath, it's one less mana, he doesn't have to reveal it and with delirium it IS a versatile tutor.
@@Qotsafan yes, exactly, instead of fierce empath. he still has to reveal it (to prove its a demon), but it is less mana. so unless you need empath as a blocker, its just better.

6 minutes not considering your card in your hand, you literally spent one turn tutoring for both of your combo pieces right? Jeez "legacy"-lite sure is something.
4.5/7.3 is 61.64% so 6/10 or close to it. That's a decent rating for decent sleeves.
18:40 it's kind of disgusting, you are just eating these people, one after the other. Feels like it was pretty consistently turn fourish wins? That format needs some strong decks to fight it.

It's hillarious but it'd got a series weakness to removal
I know this channel is about popping off quickly and all, and that control is boring, but I think this deck actually is more awkward by trying to be so focused on getting there fast.
The combo is a definitive win and tutors assure you to have it. But the focus on mana dorks makes it too vulnerable and the pretty much absence of a plan b also makes it worse. Also the curve kind of doesn't work.
Of all the combos in this channel, this is the one that would be way better within a control or midrange shell.
The dark lord may be a villain, but he is not a monster that plays control xd
