What an incredible haul! Love how you create opportunities for yourself when you go thrifting, I've seen you do it in multiple ways across your videos. I guess you gave this guy a call and got a private tour before everyone else got to the collection?
Wow! What a collection. I'm a collector of startrek figures and would of loved to see what the gentleman had. Its a shame that some of his collection was water damaged. I can't amagine if there could of been rare items.
Been picking for 20 years and been privileged to see a lot. Hope to share much more moving forward. Unfortunately I don’t know collectors here in Qld having just moved here so I’m on the hunt 😊
Oh my goodness, I had to pause a bit to see some of these goodies. I would have loved to pick up the Legend Lord of Darkness figure /statue up on the top shelf around the corner of the other statue I would have asked to buy, which was the Gandalf the White on Shadowfax! And then y'all walked right by the (IN BOX) highly limited edition Sideshow In Pursuit of the Ark ginormous Indiana Jones ROTLA statue(grail level for me). I'm in Fort Worth Texas and I never come across anything this epic. So awesome! Great haul!
Wow how bloody cool was that collection?? Thank you for sharing your pick with us! I have been having garage sales for 6 years now. I live in Redcliffe. Let me know if your ever in town and you are welcome to pick my shed!! It's not nearly as good as this but has some good stuff in it!
There's a Spider-Man head & shoulder lamp which you breeze past extremely quickly at 13:16 . I managed to pick one up 20+ years ago at Pharan bazaar in Melbourne. I've never seen another one anywhere except for mine and the one in this video. If anyone has any info on this particular piece I'd love to hear it.
Move over American Pickers, there's a new show in town! It's called 'Picking on the Gold Coast in Short Shorts.' Watch as locals scour the beach for the best shells, rocks, and bits of seaweed, all while sporting their favorite short shorts. It's a sight to behold, and you won't want to miss it. Tune in every day for a new episode, and see what treasures they find next!
I've only just discovered your channel. This is the 3rd video of yours I've watched. I collect 80's things. But my god I could just die a happy man if I had all that. Did he say how he found all of it or how he paid for it all. I'm always curious about ppl with such huge collection. I'm in the U.S. I so with I could get to Australia and see this man's beautiful collection
My phone memory is full with all the items I’ve been finding 😞 So many videos to come. Be sure to check out my shorts TH-cam channel. Plenty more on there 👇 youtube.com/@Gold_Coast_Picker
@@DannyFlippingDeals I mean the guy is clearly addicted. I feel like the topic of addiction in toy collecting doesn’t get talked about enough. He can’t even display all his stuff. I’m not trying to sound rude or anything but he clearly has a problem. That’s just my thoughts. There’s a lot of stuff in there that isn’t really valuable but there is also stuff that is extremely valuable. It seems like to me at least the guy is way over his head and has a clear problem with addiction to collecting. I see it a lot in toy collecting. It leaves a huge burden on your family when you do pass away since most people won’t be able to deal with that much stuff and have no idea what is essentially junk and what is valuable. I hope he is able to sort his stuff out and maybe sell off 90% of his stuff and keep the stuff that has meaning.
Goodwill don’t want you seeing this:

He was a true gentlemen. My favourite part is the stories. I’ve got about 5 hours worth of stories over the 15 hours that I was there 🙈

This guy was word of mouth. One of his friends gave me his number just having a general chat about buying.

It’s his lifetime collection. He filled 4 high cube shipping containers to move it. I filmed this half way through his ‘packing up. 🫶

Kinda sad to see addiction at this level
Why’s that?

@jimmy_iKoN I guess if you have the space you can keep buying as long as it fits 🙈
Shame about the storage container though.
Def was moving the cam ay too fast as a viewer i couldnt see much.
Is this guy open to public??
No mate
😮
I'm a bit of a collector, but I have to ask, "Where is the line between collecting and hoarding?".
When you just collect household rubbish / refuse without any resale value
ET!
Geez Louise! Learn to operate a camera PLEASE! 🤢
