Just started following you and going back through your posts. Are you still on the Gold Coast and are you interested in stamp collections. We inherited some dating back to 1940s Germany and we're looking for someone trustworthy on the coast to make an offer

I used to do the auctions in the 80s. I relied on auctioneers 'missing' the good shit but had to watch out for fellow bidders moving decent items from one box to another. If you're bidding always check the contents of the lot as bidding is about to start.

Do you know if this person owns an exclusive short story that was given away by Goosebumps and Lunchables in 1998?

SO jealous of that box of 80's clothes .... that is the find of a lifetime ... can't bare to watch any further or my brain will explode😅

How do you know the guy who owned the stuff in the unit didn’t take out his good stuff knowing he was going to do a runner ? Or is it just easier to blame everyone else for your poor decision making ? Well it is a possibility

I usually don't wear second hand shoes because they usually have someone else's groove in them. Except if they are like new. Then I will.

The can recycling depots always rip people off , every single time it’s a given . I count every single can 3 times and out of the 40 times I’ve done it they have ripped me between $4-$12 . If they do that to 200 people a day that’s money the workers can steal and put in their own pockets . Every single freaking time , especially at the Mandurah Western Australia recycling depots .

Oh my goodness, I had to pause a bit to see some of these goodies. I would have loved to pick up the Legend Lord of Darkness figure /statue up on the top shelf around the corner of the other statue I would have asked to buy, which was the Gandalf the White on Shadowfax! And then y'all walked right by the (IN BOX) highly limited edition Sideshow In Pursuit of the Ark ginormous Indiana Jones ROTLA statue(grail level for me). I'm in Fort Worth Texas and I never come across anything this epic. So awesome! Great haul!

You could always try only fans. On a serious note, you are lucky to have the option of your boxed lots to send to auction. The state I live in will not take them. they are always chasing high dollar value items bcos so much competition here

Thanks for the answer on the storage units, I had a feeling they were difficult to get into. Makes sense, but if you learn the ins and outs by having a go on cheaper ones first then you’ll get more knowledge before loosing a few g’s Thanks mate

Your clips are the gifts that keep giving. The struggle to let go of the 'next thing' is real when the thrill of the hunt and the discoveries comes with interesting knowledge/history/craftmanship/practicalities of the finds. I subconsciously got hooked as a kid hanging around my uncle who worked at the local tip in the 1970s and brought home 'treasures' that he spoke about in such reverence. Good luck with all your adventures in 2025.
