I own a Yezdi Adventure and let me share some views on it.
    Pros:
    - > It is very good for touring.
    -> Has very good power.
-> I liked the suspension setup. It is very comfortable and absorbing all kinds of shocks and potholes. Pillion seat is bit hard and uncomfortable for long rides.
-> Clutch not too hard and gear transmission is smooth.
-> LED headlight gives a brighter illumination.
-> The build quality and finish of the bike is amazing.
-> Amazing display cluster with good features like AFE and DTE, USB and typeC fast charging.
-> The crash guards and saddle stays are of good quality and have good finish. My bike fell down but very minimum scratch to the crash guard and silencer guard.
    Cons
-> Low end torque not good. Need to rev the engine to higher RPM, to make it climb an obstruction.
-> The horn is not loud enough. This bike is huge and powerful. It needs a bigger horn.
-> Always need to shift gears down when reducing speed. For speed-breakers and slopes, engine mostly stalls if we don’t come to 1st gear.
-> Turn Radius is bigger and Right side u-turns are difficult on this bike. Not sure if it is same with RE Himalayan. You feel the heaviness of the bike, and almost everyone who rode my bike including me almost fell down and one friend had actually fell down with the bike. Let me know your opinions on this point. I guess it is because, since the handle bars are at a distance from rider, they don’t help in handling the weight of the bike which is concentrated towards the centre. Second reason could be when you turn your bike to the right, the clutch lever goes even farther from you and its difficult to release it properly.
One of my friends felt it is because the front wheel is loosing traction during turns and other friend feels it is because the headlight, windscreen, instrumentation setup etc is mounted on the handle bar itself which adds weight and hence difficult to manage.
-> They say that the tank guards and saddle stays come with stock but thats actually a kind of mandatory addon which makes the ex-showroom price 5000 extra than what they advertise on their website. I have complained to them regarding this but no proper response. Everytime they just say that our concerned team will get back to you.

I may be selling one of my bikes in the next 2 days..mostly my dominar 400 17 model with abs...done only 20.6k kms. Not because anything is wrong with it, frankly she is in impeccable condition and tour ready with all guards ,racks and lights...but I find her a bit too cumbersome suspension set up wise....hence thinking of either of these two bikes...the himalayan or adv.
I'm confused as himalayan has already reached its product cycle life of the 411, also crude welding and rusting on chasis is what i detest. I have a 2003 thundbird in mint condition with tyre walls and original paint and chasis hasn't still rusted ....but now quality of re makes me worried. Have u faced rusting on the yezdi ? What about blue tooth issues and connectivity of maps?
Anything more you can help me with I'll be grateful.
I tour alone, for example i drove solo from mumbai to kargil army base this june via manali and returned via kashmir....so a good bike is what I look for which is reliable.
      Thanks in advance.

      @@krisindia hi bro…
I have riden my Yezdi adventure from Delhi to leh via srinagar and back to Delhi via manali and have used the bike for 7 months now.
      1. Rusting is not as bad as RE, I don’t see rust anywhere on my bike except some small bolts. There would be very small rusts near the joints of your front cage. But the chassis amd other parts don’t rust. I spray WD 40 anytime I see rust anywhere. But rusting is not a problem in Yezdi.
      2. Only discomforts you will face is engine heat on the right side. Hard clutch. Low end torque.
It has good power and speeds up easily but in lower rpm the torque is less. So it is good on highways and broken roads but not good on complete off-roads.
      3. Comfort wise it is super comfortable. The suspension and breaking is too good but you need to get extra cushion on the seat.
      4. Bluetooth navigation is not at all good. Everytime you start the bike, you need to manually connect to the Bluetooth from the app. The maps in the app use IRNS and not GPS so they give directions only to some important places but not wherever you want like the google maps. That is why I never connect the bluetooth maps and use my mobile maps instead.
      5. The headlight is not bright and you will need aux lights if you go for touring

build quality + fit and finish: short ans.. go for yezdi adv
    long ans:
rusting problems on the exposed bolts and joints of the himalayan
    why u say??
because they are not powder coated black or have anti rusting gel on it
whereas on the yezdi.. its all black powder coated so even the exhaust is not gonna shift colours and cost cutting is not done on the yezdi
    2. the wire management of yezdi is so freaking good.. reviewers will have it once a day and call it off.. but its only the maintenance of loose wires which can be a pain the ass
    3. yezdi has also covered the rear disc for agressive protection against mud and rain which the himalayan doesnt
    4. infamous neck breaks of himalayan which doesnt give u confidence on purchasing
    5. bro... 5 gears only.. yezdi has 6.. and we know this is an entry level one.. whos market is 90% noob offroaders like me.. very ideal for daily comutes as it has its engine liquid cooled and 6th gear is gods boon shining upon u while touring on highway speeds

And mostly RE dealers hasnt been taking any type of responsibility.
    I have jawa classic
    I bought it last year.
    ( 1800 km done in 1 year )
I had lot of problems with my bike. Even the swing arm got banned.
    Radiator fan jamed
And there were several other problems.
But hey. JAWA TOOK ALL THE RESPONSIBILITY AND CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR FREE.
BIKE IS RUNNING PROPERLY. 0 problems ever since.

Lol what do you mean 'No Bike'? Ever heard of Triumph Tiger? Or Suzuki Vstorm? BMW G1250GS? Even Yezdi Adventure is much better in build quality than Royal Enshit Himalayan! There are just so many problems with Himalayan. Fools get it because of the rat race and previously there were like zero options in the off-road/Adventure section. Now? We have xpulse 200, Yezdi Adventure, KTM adventure 390 and more to come in future. Lol 'No Bike' my as*

  • @shakeebahmer

Why do we keep stressing on "Off-roading" while talking about Himalayan? Most riders today are tourers, a few rough patches can be tackled easily with what Yezdi adventure offers.
And also Himalayan cruising effortlessly at 110kmph is a joke! Baring those 650 twins, there's no motorcycle in RE lineup that can cruise happily at or beyond 100kmph(since I own a 500cc Bullet standard BS3 2016)
Yezdi Adventure is much greater value for money and package, considering all the accessories it is offering 👍
