Not the defense carrying the team! Look at time of possession? Very easy for defense to do their thing when most of the game they are sitting. Less wear & tear on defense because although offense are not putting up huge scores they are hogging the ball which allows their defense to enter the game fresh & not get over tired so that when a play needs to be made easier for them to get after it. The offense has proven when they need to score they can do it in a hurry, offense never allows the opposing team to get closer than 1 score.
As a Chiefs fan, fair is fair.. Mahomes should NOT be in the conversation for MVP this year, even though he had a plethora of injuries to his weapons and a revolving door of terrible LTs, and poor tackle play as a whole, and a mediocre run game to help.. If you have elite offensive weapons around you, you are not MVP. If you can't take your team to playoffs, you are not MVP. If you have good LT, RT, then you are definitely not MVP.

Early on, Pat had some subpar games but to say that he doesn't deserve to be in the conversation sounds like someone that stopped watching the games and just checked the box scores. Less wear & tear on defense because although offense are not putting up huge scores they are hogging the ball which allows their defense to enter the game fresh & not get over tired so that when a play needs to be made easier for them to get after it. Early on, Pat had some subpar games but to say that he doesn't deserve to be in the conversation sounds like someone that stopped watching the games and just checked the box scores. Other teams had been some of the worst teams in the league and the qb put the team on thier back and tried to bring them to superbowls but the team failed them. Patrick mahomes is a good qb just overrated all other qbs have brought bad teams to greatness he brought a good team to greatness. Does it not further prove in the fact that he has had his worst season and the team still 16-1 weird right.

Couldn't be referring to Joey Burrow, lol who had Jamarr Chase, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon. I don't want to hear anything about a defense because Mahomes took Brady to overtime of the AFC championship game with Bob Sutton and the D was historically awful. That defense stats are WORSE than this years Bengals defense i damn near every category(Points allowed, yards, passing yards rushing yards td given up etc.)
@stephencreates2764 you mean the team of jmarr chase which was made great while playing with the best college qb of all time and staying with him in the nfl. Tee higgins which was taken in the second round with joe burrow which improved his play. Tyler Boyd was already there but he was good grabted worst of the three but good. Joe mixon he's good not the best but with the hostorically worst o line that let up 19 sacks in the post season was able to shine well. Again this team before joe burrow and when he got hurt was the worst in the league. Although the chiefs team doesn't sound the prettiest going from a playoff team to competing for superbowls with an addition of a better qb is that hard. Chase is a top 5 wr, Tee might be the best 2 in the league and we don’t know if he’s actually not a 1 because he’s always been in the system with Chase. Tyler Boyd was a 2 playing the 3 BALLING! OL play is so subjective breccias there’s so many different aspects, if a QB holds the ball forever the OL will look weak because they will eventually give up a sack unit they are already poor , but good/great QBs make avg line look good ALL THE TIME, look at Mahomes the last 3 seasons, tackles have been ass, yet they still winning. If the OL was so ass then Joe Burrow would have to get the ball out quick or be Lamar or have that type of athleticism, but if he is getting the ball out quick then that means the WR/Backs/TE’s are going a lot after the catch which would mean once again that the QB is either ass or he’s a great game manager.
