    Good job.. I 3d printed 100 2mm jigs for the picket tiles. First time tiling for me but everything is perfect. It wouldn't be that good and fast of a result without those jigs

      Great job! Just as an FYI they sell tile spacers in the store for cheap. You can get them in various sizes

    great video...how did you attach the ledger boards? did you puncture the membrane?

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I used hardy board screws that were the thickness of the baseboard and the hardy board. I did not puncture the membrane. It may have been deck screws. One or the other.

    Where did you get that v guide for your tile saw?

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That V guide came with the saw. That’s a cheap Ryobi tile saw. I think it was $80 brand new. It’s nothing fancy but definitely got the job done without any issues. The one thing I did though is bought a high dollar saw blade for it and threw out the one that came with it. Made a big difference!

    What depth trowel did you use for this size tile? How did you attach the trim board at the bottom so that you started level?

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pretty sure I used a 3/8” notched trowel. The trim board was attached with deck screws. Once the trim boards were removed I caulked the holes to ensure those walls were sealed

    Do you have any tips for getting the cut edges smooth? What kind of blade did you use?

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used a high dollar diamond blade on the saw and a diamond hand file for smoothing and shaving the tile

    Where's the video on lowering floor for curbless

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t make a video on that part as I was just learning myself. Our existing subfloor was made from 3/4” OSB. I cut out the subfloor in the area of the shower and scabbed in 2x6’s on the joists 3/4” below the top of the joists. This allowed me lay the 3/4” osb between the joists flush with the top of the joists. This gave me a 3/4” drop. Because the shower is so big, I needed more depth. We ended up adding 5/8” osb over the existing subfloor to bring the floor up even further to increase the shower depth. After that we added horizontal bracing 6” high between the studs to make a sort of “tub” to lay the pvc shower liner in. After it was fitted to the space I used bedding mortar to create my concrete pan and slope to drain. I highly recommend you watch videos from StarrTile. I spent probably 2 or 3 days watching everything he had to offer. Outstanding plumber and his videos helped me on this build

      Can you point out a specific video from a starrtile for the curbless build on the shower pan please ? He’s got a lot of videos… I will start watching some of them but maybe you can help me save some time :) Thank you!!!

      I don’t have any specific video to recommend. Just watch everything you can on the topic. Read articles, blogs, etc. Learn as much as you can from various sources to make sure you do this right. I feel very confident in the build we did because I spent hours and hours researching the best practices. Spend the time now on research instead of realizing you made a mistake and having to tear everything out later.
