Don't put up with this nonsense. She's just acting like a spoiled child who wants everything handed to her!! And if divorce is the only way to have a normal life and some peace, definitely need to get away from this insane woman
When i got married, I had no mother-in-law because she passed before I met my husband. My father-in-law was awesome. So happy to not deal with idiots like this.
Given how almost all the MILs are in these stories I think I’m lucky that my husband’s bio mother is deceased & he only has a step mother. Of course his Dad didn’t get remarried until my husband was in his 30s & she is a lovely woman. Also my in-laws live in a completely different state along with them not really having a close relationship. Sometimes I don’t understand my husband’s relationship with his family, even though they are nice to each other they aren’t very affectionate towards each other. Maybe because I had a very close relationship with my parents & they also were very affectionate towards each other too. But at least my husband was very fond of my mother to the point that when we were looking to buy a house it was his idea to get a four bedroom so that my mom could live with us. Unfortunately my mother passed away last year due to Covid. Since my daughter is out of school now & I don’t have any other family we are planning on moving to a different state(but NOT closer to my in-laws not that I’d really mind if we did).
