I was 17 years old and couldn't afford an apartment so I rented a spot in a campground. I started out living in a tent, but was eventually able to get a camper. The camper didn't have heat so there were some cold nights! I was taking community college classes at the time and didn't want to get out of my sleeping bag in the morning to go to class because it was so cold. Many nights I worried I would get hypothermia or not wake up in the morning, but I was incredibly lucky to not only survive but achieve the life of my dreams. This is why I care so much about helping my students.
