Doldinger´s rehearsal for the famous "Doldinger Jubilee Concert" on Oct. 16, 1973 in Düsseldorf/Germany. It also was captured by a TV station. The guy with the cigarette is the blues legend Alexis Corner (1928 - 1983)
What a treasure! Now THIS is real 'fusion', first-generation, played by humans and not machines. Cress and York are wonders to behold and they don't make 'em like this anymore. York, who I'd heard but never seen untl this, is obviously very Buddy Rich-influenced.
I would LOVE to play in that BAND! man klause doldinger ROCKS ;love the way he sticks his arm up in the air at the end... two rockin drummers...... that guitar player on his framus(?) .....
Great stuff! I just "discovered" Passport today, right here on fabulous TH-cam! Thanks for sharing this music, and giving us old music lovers more stuff to explore. Looks like this band has a huge discography too.
If you like jazz fusion, this is about as good as it gets. Be sure to check out their album Cross Collateral, 1975. Absolutely the best Fusion I have ever heard!
If you're referring to the fellow with the long blonde hair, that would be the inimitable Curt Cress, a truly gifted drummer. He later joined the progressive rock group Triumvirat. Check out "Pompeii". If I can find other footage, I will surely post it!
I saw Passport with Klaus Doldinger perform live in Detroit in 1975 performing their latest LP, Cross Collateral: they were simply Awesome!
Nice

I cannot believe how little is his music
You're all so welcome! I have enjoyed Klaus and Passport since the mid-70's, so it's a thrill to find any footage available.

I love the guy with the cigarette in his mouth playing rhythm guitar in one shot. Also the amount of sideburns and uncombed hair is just wonderful.

Would you happen to know where I could get a video of 'infinity machine'? And who was the percussionist on that cut of the same album? Thank you.
