- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 3 มิ.ย. 2010
- Recorded 6. February 1915.
Violin: Mischa Elman. Piano: Gaetano Scognamiglio.
This song was also brilliantly performed by others like (notably) Tino Rossi.
Lyrics:
Rien qu'au revoir murmuré tout bas
En me serrant la main
Et mon coeur brisé suivit vos pas
Au loin sur le chemin
Car vous n'avez jamais connu
L'amour dont je souffrais
Jamais vous n'êtes revenue
Ô vous que j'adorais.
Pourquoi n'avez-vous pas surpris
Mon secret dans mes yeux
Hélas ! si vous l'aviez compris
Nos coeurs unis seraient heureux.
Rien qu'au revoir murmuré tout bas
En me serrant la main
Et c'est là, c'est là ce qui me reste hélas
D'un doux rêve lointain
Depuis, je vis dans le passé
Revoyant ce moment
Que rien n'a jamais effacé
Je vis en vous aimant.
Pourquoi n'avez-vous pas surpris
Mon secret dans mes yeux
Hélas ! si vous l'aviez compris
Nos coeurs unis seraient heureux. - เพลง
Sei grande Enrico la più bella voce di sembre
Caruso a cette voix sombre qui nous touche le cœur ♥️
Caruso had the Perfect Instrument to sing in these Piano+Violin+Voice trios.
Excellent. Divine. Addictively beautiful.
Thank you for posting this remarkably clear and undistorted recording by
Enrico. The memories of my listening as a child, my father's 10inch single sided RCA 78 rpm record of this lyrical song has brought tears to my eyes and a peaceful anguish in my heart.
I doubt anyone else, living or dead, could render as fine a performance of this seldom heard
Caruso.gem. Merci du plus profond de mon etre!
Vacker! Tak so muket!
Merci! C'est DIVIN!
GRACIAS!
Ravishing beautiful whenever Caruso sings with any kind of ensemble he is PART of it not the great tenor But this shows even more his wonderful art surpassing anyone else who ever lived he was such a HUMAN BEING
Is always a pleasure to hear his voice, very appreciated, thanks
I am rendered speechless by this extraordinary singing and equally amazing violin playing - they don’t make them like this anymore, that’s for sure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this!
@gilturk115. Merci beaucoup, Gil, for you very nice comment. Your account of listening to this beautiful song as a child creates very vivid images.
Enrico had the gift of not only a beautiful voice, but - for me even more important - also the gift of empathy. Whatever he sang, he did it with his full heart.
thanks a lot - beautiful singing and record-quality!

@Aetion LOL
Another very interesting recording (out of 3 or four) recordings with piano & violin is Massenet's well known Élégie 'O doux printemps'. Check it in my Titanic movie :-)
I believe there is also one with viola - not violin.
Both are just incredible.
