I just want to say how much I enjoyed this video! I have been on a Cassavetes/Rowlands-journey lately where I've tried to watch as much of their work - separately and together - as I can. I felt like I needed to build enough courage to watch A Woman Under the Influence, though, and last night it was finally time. And I don't think I'll even be the same again, in the best way possible. Rowlands performance was sensational, I have never seen anything so raw and naked. The scene towards the end where she asks her dad to stand up for her, and he doesn't get what she's talking about - oh my god, that created a void in my soul. Thank you for this video, I truly enjoyed it.

The film provides all of the interesting content for me, I just point people in it's direction. It's one of the best films that I've seen in the last 6 months and I adore Gena Rowland's performance in this as well as the couple's chemistry.

I'd recommend Chan Is Missing, it also does a great job utilizing non-actors to capture the authenticity of Chinatown in the 80s
