This is probably the most nerfed I've ever seen the Flash.
The writing for this story is something else. The saving grace is that Cheetah is always a beautiful sight for any DC story arc.

@@RichOrElse theoretically i don't see why not. it would actually make his life easier, if he quick changes into his costume as it pops out of the ring just through sheer speed, he could do the same thing to get out of it and back into his civilian outfit, but it would be way easier if he could just vibrate and phase out of the outfit. just saying.

@@mfirdanhb So you're saying Batman as normal a human who trains to be peak athletic level can beat Wonder Woman in hand 2 hand with a wrist lock and throw? despite the fact she can bench press an oceanliner, ill make this simple, it cannot, will not, ever happen. This is the reason why this movie isn't considered apart of the DCAU, because its illogical on such a level no sane writer who knows DC comics would ever sign off on it. If Batman had done anything other than fight her hand 2 hand, I'd believe it, gas her, taze her, hell charm her, but Cheetah again is on a speed and strength level near Wonder Woman's. Superman she is not, but ain't no green rocks going to weaken her. Realistically speaking, batman would have tried to grab her wrist and she wouldn't have budged she'd have lifted him off the ground and ripped his chest open pulling out his guts and tossed him to the ground. Plot armor is one thing, but this is just bad writing.

Seriously, Penguin had a bunch of devices that could drag an asteroid to Earth, and a bunch of robotic drones he could send in immediately afterwards to fetch the valuable minerals. Cobblepot could have approached Bruce fucking Wayne and gotten a low-interest loan to acquire some land and generators and do this schtick anywhere he liked. Why do we even have the state of Wyoming for, anyway, if not for doing shit like this?
Also, you know who's an even better target for extortion? People with money, they will give you money not to ruin their shit. You know what you don't have to do to ruin a rich person's day? Destroy _anything_. Cobblepot could have gotten a loan from Wayne and done a small proof-of-concept with a non-gold containing asteroid and made MANY times more money than the citizens of Gotham could have ponied up. He could be extracting something on the order of millions to a billions USD a year from the ultra wealthy in order not to fuck up the precious metals market.
Then it wouldn't matter what the women at the gala said about him. Because when you own the island and have one 10/10 beauty in every hair and skin combination on Earth as staff, you'll find that therapy for your rage issues and problems with rejection works pretty well. And, having the kind of even and magnanimous personality that comes from facing your issues AND MAKING THE PWOERFUL AND MIGHTY OF THE WORLD FEAR YOUR TREAD, tends to make up for a certain lack of physical beauty. Man-Bat wasn't a villian to start. Quite honestly, I think the definition of villian is blurry.
man-bat is usually played as one of batman's tragic villains. he has villains that are just a-holes like joker, riddler, Penguin, Zsasz, etc., but then he has the tragedy line-up, the people that are not criminals per se but are just in a bad place right now. ventriloquist, Harley Quinn, Man-bat, Baby Doll, to a lesser extent early mr freeze and two-face, etc.
people who through no fault of their own either are pushed out of control or just snap under the pressure. ventriloquist is his own abusive boss, harley is in an abusive relationship and suffering from something between cult brainwashing and Stockholm syndrome, Man-bat was trying to do something noble that backfired and screwed him, Freeze was desperate to save his wife, and so on and so on.
if these criminals were slightly less dangerous Batman could potentially handle them the same way flash handles trickster in justice league/JLU, and in the animated series we see this approach work for Baby Doll once she's disarmed and sees what she's become and break down. if scarface was less of a threat the bat might be able to do the same with ventriloquist as well but sadly the unstable nature of the dominant persona won't allow it, until ventriloquist wears the pants in his own head, batman can't reach him that way.
same for man-bat usually. he's a decent person, but when he goes winged and scary looking, werewolf rules apply, good luck getting through to him, and i hope for your sake there's a panic room handy.

90% of the time flash is shown running slightly faster than regular speed, when they are clearly trying to show him tapping into the speed force and running at the speed of sound. Also super disappointed whenever I see speedsters animated in American cartoons.

Boy. This story is a train wreck. Bats did not know who Langstrom was? Flash was moving at turtle speed. Cheetah had issues with a couple of skilled normals, why not use Gorilla Grodd?
