the 1.6 never had vtec, but still reved up to 7k at the limiter. Very fun car indeed. I have to sell mine unfortunally due to having a new car from work, so I barely drive it anymore.

The cloth at the door panels will fall off as the glue is agein. The roof panel foam falls apart results in loose roof cloth. Atleast with my honda accord f18b2 .

Yeah. In fact, basically every major maket got offered a slightly different variation. I think the EU spec and the JP spec look the best. Not really digging the US spec version, sorry ^^ Although I appreciate the existence of the V6 coupe, which we (Europeans) were offered as well

I have the 1.8 2002 with 260.000 Km (i guess). Last year did 229 Km/h on gps ( don't ask ). I love that chassis behavior. Just keep it above 2500/3000 rpm. Want to test mine and fill it up???? ;)
I have that 1.8 F series in my 99 accord. 230,000 miles or roughly 360,000km on the clock. Never once gave trouble. Heck the engine was never even opened because nothing ever had to be fixed in there. It is due a valve adjustment however. As for chassis behaviour in these its on a different level. Made during hondas golden era as i call it. Mid 80s to about 04 was the pinnacle of honda in pretty much all aspects. Glad that a few folks still have interest in these workhorses

On the last day returning, I drove from Prague to Dijon in a single day, 13 hours of driving and no fatigue at all. Longest drive I did in one day was a 15hr trip from Madrid (including breaks), again no physical fatigue. The only con about owning this car is the difficulty of finding certain parts, which are no longer produced by Honda. But y'know, those things never go wrong...
mam takiego samego accorda tylko z dwulitrówką. ja pierdole jaki to jest złom jebany. samochód totalnie niewdzięczny, wybredny, wadliwy, ciężki w naprawach. dobrze, że zapłaciłem za niego adekwatnie do jego wartości, czyli bardzo mało. 147 koni - tylko na papierze, o ile istnieją, bardzo niefajne do miasta - pałować do 5k obrotów na każdym skrzyżowaniu żeby utrzymać dynamikę? nie mam już 15 lat, jazda tym autem mnie męczy. tylko najgorsze, że po naprawach i w gazie nie ma dla niego lepszej alternatywy, bo już udało się dojść do poziomu względnie taniego w utrzymaniu (dopóki coś kolejnego się nie zepsuje).
Twarde, głośne, ciasne, niewygodne, niskie, krótka skrzynia, rdzewiak ale silniczek fajnie cykał. Jeździło się przez 2 lata 6 genem. Film obejrzałem z przyjemnością👍

At one point these were probably the best cars on the road in terms of reliability and comfort. Btw, speaking from experience. My dad owned it since new before i got it and it rarely needed repairs. I remember at least 20 of its 25 years in existance and can say without doubt its the best car that has ever been in our family. So far it has outlived a santa fe, sportage, duster, laguna, megane, v70, xc60, golf, jetta, passat, micra, corsa, ix35, touran and an a4. These were the last of the cars from hondas golden era. Mid 80s to early 00's was hondas heyday. And if ya got one that a ricer didnt touch, the dam thing would last forever. Brilliant cars
It's pretty weird. I have 2006 JDM civic sedan in croatia. In europe you can't see that car, cause it wasn't sold there, but in croatia, serbia and some other balkan countries the JDM version of sedan was sold too.

Vtec is not vtec. I had a 99 civic si with dohc vtec and thats fast. I have a 98 accord like this one now and its sohc vtec is nothing.

yes, the car is ok in high speed - although prelifts are louder than facelifts, because gear ratio changed. It also depends on the exhaust really.

Higher RPM = more power. Lower RPM = better gas mileage. Better to have more power when you are trying to speed up to merge onto the highway.

@@Rutch the suspension isn't as soft as in a full-size V8 limo though, but honestly it's okay. I'd say it's the same kind of feeling as in a 3-series
