FOLLOWUP: th-cam.com/video/dmD2b-q4AXY/w-d-xo.html This can be tweaked by swapping Feedback over to the Nebula, and using Failsafe on the Twisted Arbalest. If you don't mind losing the health regen from Tranquil Heart, the Reprocessed Heart can give you even more mod power per second, allowing you to swap Summoner into your primary archetype to have access to Ruthless. this setup has higher highs, and lower lows. EDIT: Experimenting with the Reprocessed Heart some more, using it frees up our amulet and mutator slot, so I've been trying Pressure Point mutator and the Detonation Trigger and the results are promising. I still prefer having Archon in the primary slot because the mod downtime is too long without it when you're fighting strictly solo bosses like the Stonewarden from the new DLC Also, Cataloger's Jewel is an upgrade to Spirit Stone for our purposes.
Have you looked into ring of spirits? 3% mod gen for all active consumables, drink a concoction and pop a faerie needle 6% with a 10 mp gen on top of that, add on like a gul serum for the stamina dodges and another 3% (I know it's only 60 sec but that's about how long a fight can go if your min/maxing) even an ambit ember, evade window and speed all for 12% mod gen of a min on top of class and three other rings. No judging I love the class, just wondering if you had tried it.
I've never in my 29 years on this miserable planet heard someone on TH-cam say "Do Not subscribe to me I'm not a content creator!" Man deserves subs just for the truth
Yo word dude isn't a content creator actually speaks like a human being and explains all the relevant info, unlike every content creator who kinda drive me up a wall
I will definitely try this build. I always loved the arbalest I just couldn't figure out how to make it work. But this not only seems to but also makes a fun summoner build as well.
"Why would Gunfire let this mod be good?" Truer words never spoken. Subbed despite your protestations just for that comment, as they are quite possibility the biggest bunch of killjoys I have ever met since my days of dropping quarters in Atari Pong arcade machines in the '70's.
@@themonsterunderyourbed9408 The problem is, they change all this stuff AFTER you buy it. If they'd give me a refund, I'd happily take it and never play again. If you can make this happen, be my guest, otherwise STFU defending this bait-and-switch.
This is by far my favourite gun and i made a similar build recently with the same archetypes. i found burden of the follower, spirit and feedback was more then enough mod gen to spam out the mod constantly not to mention the almost permanent uptime on nebula. This allowed me to run jesters bell or golden ribbon for the amulet. Fun additions to this build ring wise is the shard banded ring, probability cord and the digested hog lure (which was buffed last patch) on reload you get 15% bonus mod damage. the trick is to let the animation of reloading start until you see the buff proc then use the mod to cancel the reload animation and instantly reload your weapon. this combo frequently gets me 2k damage crit aoes which makes running around the map on apoc a joke. Also when in a boss battle a second primary option is the corrupted merciless. with this kind of setup you can get to 5 stacks very quickly and pump out up to 12k damage on a weakspot crit. when running this i swap out the hog lure for zanias malice as using the mod of c. merciless instantly reloads your weapon and doesn't proc the ring buff. give it a try.
Swapping to a separate primary kinda defeats the purpose of the build though, which is to use the twisted arbalest as a full time strategy, not just for clearing maps. If you're just gonna use a different weapon for bosses, at that point just swap the whole build for something stronger. My goal is to create a setup that allows the twisted arbalest to match up decently against EVERY boss in the game, not just some of them. The gun already clowned on bosses like the Primogenitor that just fill the room with mobs, the problem was that solo bosses like Stonewarden absolutely shut the gun down, which is why I made this video to tell people that they can use the minion to be able to deal with those bosses much more easily. Furthermore, having big crits on the explosions is complete overkill for regular mobs who typically don't have more than 1200hp which is low enough to die from a disc hit + a detonation trigger boosted Guardian's Call without a crit. That extra damage only serves you better against elites or bosses, the former of which are trivialized by Misfortune Kraxe, and in the latter case I would argue having more mod gen instead of crit stacking would be far more consistent, especially against bosses like Stonewarden where you need all the mod gen you can get what with there being no other enemies to farm damage off of. Long story short, in my opinion, more frequent explosions is better than stronger explosions. And believe me, I have tested all the jewelry you described, and none of that ended up being as strong as the generation setup, and that's what I used to beat Venom, Annihilation, OTK, all the world bosses, all the solo bosses, etc. I'll probably make another video explaining this exact setup
I use the original arbalest for almost everything, with the exception of final/elite boss fights . I find that firing at the ground I can consistently hit enemies and my fliers. I am definitely going to try this build, it is very me
Just the fact they count as summons means if I'm fightin a flier I grab them and put on soul guard, five stacks of bulwark and I just have to snipe. I need to find the soul feast ring to see if Crabs work.
@@laharlkent I already tried it, it appears to either not work at all or only for a single crab per cast, though I’d check for yourself before taking my word for it
Oh im excited for this. Just started the video and im rocking the same class+skill combo in my arbalest build. Looking forward to seeing if youre running the same thing as me
Ahh I've been using my reaver to give me some damage reduction, I've never intentionally aimed at him. I'm running det trigger, singed ring, then the mod damage and explosive damage rings. The arbalest destroys everything but bosses this way. I've been running Anguish for boss dps. But this looks like it might be better
I know you have an updated version of this bulld, but how cool would it be to run two Reavers with this build, utilizing that new legendary fragment? Oh, probably so much fun!
If we were looking for pure damage, would you say probably Burden of the Destroyer as a replacement for Encrypted Ring? Decreased range hardly seems like a notable downside in this build lol.
Yup! Since two of my ring slots are slotted for survivability, if you just wanna maximize damage you can replace those with things like BotD, Blasting Cap, etc. Personally, I've started using Reprocessed Heart more and I like the Encrypted Ring to help offset the drain
@@YourSponsor Yeah that makes sense. I have too many hours into this game, even no hit runs on apoc w/ admiral's ring and daredevil's charm are starting to get boring for me, and this build looks like the perfect way to shake things up. Thanks so much for posting this, I adore the build.
Could you put Spirit Healer on the Arbalest and then change the Encrypted Ring for something else? That would keep a consistent heal on you and keep your summons healed as well. Might even be able to swap a trait.
if you don't use Feedback on the arbalest, it takes 3 to 4 shots just to regenerate the mod. not worth it. in any case, the new dlc shook things up and broke mod generation so it doesn't work anyway, waiting on a fix and some more balance changes before I revisit this
I haven't tested it, but even if it did, neither option is superior to the Summoner because of all the damage it gives you from the damage perk. Maybe if you're playing co-op and a teammate has a turret, that could work?
Good substitutes for Reed of the Vaunnt include Detonation Trigger, Jester's Bell, and Golden Ribbon. If you use one of these, you'll be missing a bit of mod generation, so I would encourage swapping the Tranquil Heart for the Reprocessing Heart. Other mutators that you could swap for Feedback include Failsafe and Pressure Point. Since posting this I've been using Detonation Trigger in the neck slot, Burden of the Follower, Encrypted Ring, Catalogers Jewel, and Blasting Cap. Reprocessing Heart relic, and Pressure Point on the arbalest. It slows you down a little bit but the damage is much higher to compensate and your minion loves longer since you're using the Reprocessing Heart constantly
White Pawn Ring isn't impactful enough to justify over other options. Shiny Hog Lure doesnt have as much synergy as you'd think because every time you use Guardian's Call it automatically reloads the arbalest and that auto reload does not trigger Shiny Hog Lure, so the more you spam the mod, the less valuable that ring is
Uhh nearly exactly my build :D i use detonation trigger for explosion dmg + fire for extra mod regen (failsafe or failsafe from your amulet doesnt work well with arbalest.) mp-60 with tentacles and ammunition refund to not run empty on primary ammunition. shielded heart shield amount, mod dmg, health. rings: blasting cap (changeable) burden of the follower ( kinda BIS) shield for reload or shield for dogde or both maybe health regen while shielded (genesis ring) krell axe with corrosive mutator there is a mod that can split dmg from friend to enemy, but kills your minions cause kinship needs to be changed for more health for summons and kinda hard to use.

As an Arbalest connoisseur this makes me happy, more players should dive into the glorious insanity of the twisted arbalest

do not sub to this guy
hes just our sponsor XD
Awesome build bro 👌 🎉 new subscriber here!! Cheers!!
My Arbalest is dealing 1500 dmg, why is yours just a third?
*looks at reaver* he takes a pet like no problem! *shwung!*
I used to use bore mod with it cause the disc would bounce insanely fast between them and it would chunk the boss
Would you say that would ring might be a good alternative since the weapon does do decent stagger dmg
I don't think so. It doesn't need any more stagger than it already has.
Arbalest all day long.
I see fords chest has spawned a second time like mine. Except if you have never opened yours
Still upset bout the bore synergy removal
Would that work with a turret or Decoy, tho?
I haven't tested it, but even if it did, neither option is superior to the Summoner because of all the damage it gives you from the damage perk. Maybe if you're playing co-op and a teammate has a turret, that could work?
Tweaked it into an explosion build. Working ok so far worried about single bosses

Uhh nearly exactly my build :D
i use detonation trigger for explosion dmg + fire for extra mod regen (failsafe or failsafe from your amulet doesnt work well with arbalest.)
mp-60 with tentacles and ammunition refund to not run empty on primary ammunition.
shielded heart shield amount, mod dmg, health.
rings:
blasting cap (changeable)
burden of the follower ( kinda BIS)
shield for reload or shield for dogde or both
maybe health regen while shielded (genesis ring)
krell axe with corrosive mutator
there is a mod that can split dmg from friend to enemy, but kills your minions cause kinship needs to be changed for more health for summons and kinda hard to use.
i am not. fix your thumbnail.
u dont need tp be a god. just an aimbot will do XD
