It seems to me that in its essence curiosity is not directly related to opinions. It's about acquiring a knowledge of the outside world, opinions are about the state of the internal one. Pure curiosity does not require reasons, being an instinct it is a motivation by itself. The fear of changing mind, even in the form of a strong conviction that the mind can't be changed - is driven by different mechanisms, may be conflicting but separate from curiosity. Obviously, some of our opinions are derived from the knowledge acquired by the curiosity, but many of them are influenced by different aspects of personal history. What makes curiosity so powerful for finding a common ground is the commonality of the shared reality a curious people are tend to be more exposed to. Alternatively, world views derived from personal journey guided by immediate interests and influenced by surrounding people are less expected to overlap.
GREAT IDEA! Good for you, thx for this talk.

It should be noted that the IDF committed the great majority of mvrders on the day, and did so under instruction and as a matter of policy.
Too Pollyannaish.
