Also, my 2021 Trailboss is black on black and I plastidipped all my badges black. Looks awesome. Another thing I did was dark smoke my rear tail light above the cab to match my tail lights. I have black Trailboss and did this and installed Z71 black emblems. Heat gun, I used weed whacker trimmer wire to pull emblem off, definitely need the pinstripe eraser wheel with drill attachment (like $13), wax and buff. Great video. Thanks for the education!
For those looking to do this, get yourself a bottle of Rapid Remover off of Amazon. Completely safe for the paint and literally melts any left over adhesive so you can wipe it away. (After using the eraser wheel, of course.)
Looks awesome! One thing that I think would look really nice is if you had a custom made 6.2 emblem that you could mount to the grille, off to the side somewhere. That way, you can maintain that clean look and still let everyone know the beast you have under the hood.

I did a 3 inch moto fab kit and 22x12 with 33's on my 2015 ltz Z71 and right after I experienced a hum and vibration in the front really bad at certain speeds and I'm told it's a bad bearing. I only have 56k on the truck

I have a set of extra Silverado letters in black for the tailgate if you want them. Matte black. Also Tried the black emblems but decided to de-badge for the cleaner look. Too much going on in the back with all those badges and the tailgate insert
So I just got my new mustache piece for my 2016 Silverado. After royally fucking up the factory one, I ordered another one. So fair I’ve sanded it down with some 300 something grit sand paper and sprayed It black, let it dry for a day or so, and then sprayed it white on top. Using the black as an acting primer. So far the white has adhered to the black very well, next step is to clear coat it after a day or 2 of drying in my living room. Then it’ll be time to smack that bad Larry on to my truck and see how it holds up to the elements. Which that’s my main concern, how will it hold up to rain, dirt, pebbles and pressure wash. Hopefully the white and clear coat adheres to the black paint really well.
I bought black badges to replace all the chrome ones and it looks real good! I just need to replace the trail boss sticker. I have a pearl white truck as well
I watched another guy black out his badges using some kind of film and a heat gun and cut off the excess. Looked really nice that way. Then again, I am trying to order one so I might just get the Dark Essentials package and then do that to the Z71 badge.
I think you should adjust the D badged everywhere else except for the tailgate I left the tailgate the way it was . I have a 99 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner that’s white and ID badge everywhere except for the tailgate and I like it

For the Trail Boss sticker on the rear, you might be able to find an identical one in black, I did that for my 2017 Z71 stickers
