    Nice technique! You just gotta love the torch! We made a quick and easy bar sign, and we used our torch to give it that weathered and distressed look.

      @InteractiveRealm heck yeah, I went and checked that out. I noticed some others I follow, very cool.
      Way back when I was stationed at MCAS El Toro a lot of times I'd go to Disneyland payday weekends. I'd usually get a room just down the road from the Disneyland Hotel and enter the park there at the hotel taking the monorail in. Good times for sure.

      @CaptRich-bi3gp That's cool.. I love the monorail.. we often talk about the kinetic energy of retro tomorrowland with the subs, peoplemover, sky buckets, monorail etc all moving around the same area at the same time.. we miss that vibe very much.

    Hi. What kind of wood u use? Not all will be nice like that???

    • @InteractiveRealm
      @InteractiveRealm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just pine, actually. You'll want a softer wood as the torching and wire brushing removes the top burned layer leaving more grain giving it that aged look.
      Other woods you could use are red wood, cedar and cypress. Along with pine, all of these woods are good for indoor and outdoor use and are soft woods.

    will the wood smell burnt?

    • @InteractiveRealm
      @InteractiveRealm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will for a little while.. day or two but it will go away. If you spray a clear coat over it, it will cover the smell right away.
      I have never had anyone complain about the smell at all.
