      Rory o connor Ah yeah, they make that scorpion bomber right? Will keep an eye on them for sure to see if they release anything I particularly like. I think a lot of it atm is quite grungy which isn't quite my style but they have some cool stuff!

    What about breathability? I'm always skeptic about water resistance tests like partially dipping it in water because there's totally different thing happening between fibers and joint sections while walking.

    I appreciate your test. Glad you were honest.

    What I would like to know, how do they stand up when they are soaked from the sole?
    I mean, it's more likely you have to step into a puddle or a shallow river rather than dipping your toes in it.

    nice review! I have a pair of the black mids great shoe! getting a pair of the Lowe's in dark blue. I'm into the tech wear look as well. great idea for a channel👌👍💯

    since those shoes are waterproof do they let sweat and heat out?
    I got the huarache utilities for 40€ which is about 35£. I thought huaraches would look shitty af but the utilities look a bit more study in terms of thickness of the heels.
    greetings from Germany keep doing vids like those

  • @zeroses89
    @zeroses89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great review bro. tbh I prefer the mids presto than the acronym prestos. I got the mids for great bargin. a bang for your buck. anyways maybe you should try the Nike lupinek flyknit. I got mine and it's really worth the buy and also looks good for a techwear look.

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      zeroses89 The mids are definitely a better value purchase than the Acronyms - right now people seem to be trying to sell them for about 500 which is mad.
      Lupineks are pretty cool and definitely work with tech stuff! Might try pick some up when we get back towards autumn/winter - it's probably a bit warn for them atm

    These for sure. Acronyms r just hype and they're not waterproof. These have pretty much the same look with the added "utility" haha.

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      deekay13 Very true - even though these don't have the branding their functionality makes them a more 'authentic' tech shoe

      I think they're really cool, possibly one of the best winterised sneakers out there right now. Not a massive fan of the recent desert camo ones but the black and olive versions look awesome imo

  • @justplainlawr
    @justplainlawr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I usually wear a size 10.5, but this shoe doesn't come in half sizes. would you suggest getting a size 10 or size 11?

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally I'd go for 11 as if it's a bit big you could make it a bit better with thick socks or a different insole

    • @justplainlawr
      @justplainlawr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This Is Antwon I just picked up the Nikelab Free RN and the 11 fit me better than the 10. The fit on the Presto Utility is pretty much the same?

    so I was looking into buying mid utility prestos and was wondering if you think the gray prestos would look good with techwear

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grey could look really cool in the right fit for sure, but I think you'd need some other grey stuff in there to balance it out. Maybe a grey jacket w/ black cargos? A full tonal grey fit could also be really cool, but quite tricky to get right I think

    I'm new to techwear. Outside of performance as in like, being water resistant, would these also be some decent shoes to run in?

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Air Presto was originally designed as a running shoe and I've exercised in them with no problems, so yearh I'd say they're decent

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yo! The Huarache isn't my favourite shape but the Utility version is pretty cool, especially the triple black version! They'll definitely look good in tech fits imo :)

    • @lightningstormepower
      @lightningstormepower 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ive got the triple blacks with that reflective band that goes from top to middle of the shoe, goes pretty nice W/ techwear apparel

  • @johngreen4th891

    hey Antwon what do you think about the Nike SF-AF1s as a tech shoe?

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I like them a lot! They go nicely with cargos and other tech stuff imo, and have a great military-esque look which is fairly unique. In fact I think I prefer them to the AF1 Downtown hi x Acronym

    • @johngreen4th891
      @johngreen4th891 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That military look is the reason why I going to cop a pair. I'll also check out the ones your talking about. In general though are high tops a good complement to tapered cargo pants?

    • @ThisIsAntwon
      @ThisIsAntwon  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kid Kaos High tops can definitely work! Particularly the AF1 you suggested and other more boot-like sneakers are all good

    I wouldnt trust “waterproof” sneakers by Nike.
    In the past, i purchased, not 1 but 2, nike pegasus trail gore-tex sneakers; first the 2nd version then the 3rd version. I only wore em to go to work on rainy days. I never jogged in them in anything like that, so they had barely any wear. After about 5 months of NOT using them everyday, water started to seep through on rainy days.
    Luckily for me, Gore-Tex stands by the guarantee of its products, and i was refunded by them for each pair of sneakers
