    Consumer Awareness is an act of making sure the buyer or consumer is aware of the information about products, goods, services, and consumers rights. Consumer awareness is important so that buyer can take the right decision and make the right choice.

    Another great awareness video from you guys. I always check the manufacture and expiry dates of things before buying them. If it's expired goods, i inform the storekeeper. Consumers must be aware of our own rights and that consuming expired food items affect our health.

    We had few meat masala's in our shop which was expired and i kept it aside , told my mom not to sell also....... and after around 2 months passed .. student Union came for checking
    I politely took the masalas out and gave them!
    It was the only expired goods which i refused to sell also!
    And we got fined 5k🤣🤣🤣🤣💔💔💔💔💔💔
    Moral: dispose it before checking comes

    Yet another big message. It's not just about expiry date of the product with which we consumers have always been exploited. I can relate myself mentioning Consumer right(though I don't really know) last year in November as I made a heated argument with one big Marwari wholesale shop owner for a free 25g coffee(Continental) worth 90 rs. Unfortunately most of us ignore it since it's just worth some amount and reluctant about fighting for it. But we are actually giving our rights away for which we have taken advantage of. I hope all of us will start to value our consumer right.

    Once while travelling I argued with a shopkeeper in Silonijan for selling products more than the MRP. I told him about the consumer rights and asked him to take the exact MRP. He said the extra cost was on the pretext of keeping it in the fridge. Because of the argument, he had to give me by mrp but there are many commuters especially Nagas who take that road to travel back to villages and end up paying more to the shop keepers let alone the hotels that are prospering because of Nagaland passengers.
    So know your rights and educate others as well. Let us not be exploited often.

    Just now I was done studying with the topic "Consumer awareness"
    And ya the consumer act was passed in 1986....The Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020 (“Rules”) were notified by the Government of India on 20.07.2020. The Rules are intended to complement the Consumer Protection Act, 2020 (“Act”) to by regulating all e-commerce activities and transactions. The Rules have sought to govern all such e-commerce activities by laying down duties and liabilities to be adhered by e-commerce entities, marketplace e-commerce entities, sellers on marketplace, and inventory e-commerce entities. The Act defines ‘e-commerce’ under Section 2(16), as “buying or selling of goods or services including digital products over digital or electronic network”.
    Scope of Rules
    The Rules apply to:
    All goods and services bought or sold over digital or electronic network including digital products;
    All models of e-commerce, including marketplace and inventory models of e- commerce;
    All e-commerce retails, including multi-channel single brand retailers and single brand retailers in single or multiple formats; and
    All forms of unfair trade practices across all models of e-commerce
    However, the Rules except activities carried out by a natural person in personal capacity not being part of any professional or commercial activity undertaken on a regular or systematic basis.

      Manipur, fuel price illegally hiked by 50 paise/litre. Citizens strike and protest to curb corruption.
      Nagaland fuel price hiked for covid cess while the rest of the world sold fuel at lowest price in the century. Naga citizens, online war with each other but nothing happens.
      Moral: Neiphiu will always have the last laugh when it comes to citizens rights.

      From padumpukhuri gate till airport, without entering the parking tax area = 150 to 250rupees depending on the passenger's appearance.
      If passenger is a gentle dude or a soft lady, 250 or even 300. If it's a rowdy looking tough guy or a Naga Karen, then 150 which is still a lot if you actually know the ratio of fuel consumption and fuel price.

    Dare to read the article mentioned in yesterday’s Nagaland post tagged as “TOWER SHORTAGE IN KOHIMA AFFECTING MOBILE SERVICES”, anyone reading it will be an eye opener. And yeah regarding the services and Consumer rights, the thing is to be lamented. There are middle class family and lower class family even here, but the main thing is that no one dares to raise up the voice against an inflation mentioned against an item even if one does he/she is being made to shut by the Rags and Riches. There are people who work their arse out here, yet still have to pay a hefty amount of money in pity issues and does Survival becomes a daily battle for the same. All I am saying is, do we have any part here? Yes we do! A brief example is of the water bill and light bill that comes on monthly basis, the before mentioned bills have a slab of basic expense but there are cases where they exceed over the limit, who suffers from this sort ? US common people.
    Ok fine, even KAKA SADA, the basic is now sold at ₹10, when it’s mentioned as ₹6 MRP, same with Shikar and other stuffs. People who are benefitting from the arise in price are enjoying but we common man are suffering and will always suffer. Trust me no one has the balls to do anything against the Mafia’s that runs this inflation , no one at all.

    Totally agreed on expired items but regarding the price hike one should not blame the small business community, it's the agencies the big player that hike the price which impacts the wholesale business community, followed by the other business community which are dependent on wholesale market.
