Amtrak, NS, and North Shore in Central PA

On Sunday December 3rd, 2023 I spent the day trackside all over Central Pennsylvania seeing basically everything from Norfolk Southern to Amtrak and the North Shore Railroad Santa trains operating on the Shamokin Valley Railroad. For NS we caught an extra K21 in the morning heading north on the Buffalo line to Lock Haven as well as H53 heading to Enola. Much of the afternoon was spent on the Pittsburgh Line seeing Amtrak 43 and a variety of trains on NS. We finished out the day in the darkness with stops in Millersburg to see 11Z heading south and the North Shore Santa train heading back into the yard in Northumberland.
