Novel weapons or tactics usually don't have a long life. Once the opposition become aware of what is going on, countermeasures are taken and the weapon/tactic can be combatted. I suspect they were all shot down.
the Wall Street Journal- When Ukraine launched its big counteroffensive this spring, Western military officials knew Kyiv didn’t have all the training or weapons-from shells to warplanes-that it needed to dislodge Russian forces. But they hoped Ukrainian courage and resourcefulness would carry the day. They haven’t. Deep and deadly minefields, extensive fortifications and Russian air power have combined to largely block significant advances by Ukrainian troops. So, the "allies" of Ukraine do not hide the fact that they canceled the peace talks in March 2022 to find out how long the Ukrainian soldiers will live in the attack on the Russian echeloned defense.

The West knew in advance that Ukraine was not sufficiently prepared for the success of the counteroffensive, but counted on the courage and determination of Ukrainians - The Wall Street Journal According to the publication, military leaders in the West knew that the Ukrainian troops did not have the required training or a sufficient arsenal of weapons - from shells to combat aircraft - needed to dislodge Russian forces from fortified positions. The WSJ notes that Ukraine's lack of air defense and anti-aircraft weapons on the battlefield has provided Russia with air superiority on most of the front. In such a situation, complex offensive operations are simply impossible.
It's claimed that the New Zealand Maori were first to use trench warfare, as they used it when the British arrived and was one of the reason a treaty was signed, because neither side was winning. Normally the Brits cleaned up in battle, but not facing the Maori in trenches, Apparently the Maori used trenches in warfare against each other hundreds of years prior to the Brits arriving in NZ. I was taught this in school 40 years ago, (It might not be correct of course. Maybe someone else will know?)

Your friends at Canada's Draganfly can put it all together, including anything you dream up. Ditto the Scandinavians. USA tends to make things more complicated than necessary. I don't know why Ukraine did not strengthen their border before the Invasion. I mean after the annexation of crimia, they should have strengthen their border with static defense systems such as trench network systems, minefields, anti-tank ditch/traps, barbedwires, and etc. Then those trenches are manned by territorial defense forces. Plus complimented by artilleries, mechanize units, air support.
A mined and trenched field isn't able to be farmed and most of Ukranian land is farm land. Also I don't think trenches really work if their not actively lived in. Over time a trench deteriorates and is pretty useless unless it's maintained.
@@kurtwinslow2670 1. I rather turned a 1 km deep of land area(within or close to the border) into a static defense systems rather than losing vast territories just like what happen to Ukraine. 2. Every Nation/Country has its own border guards, but Ukraine has its own border guards and territorial defense forces which can be utilized to man, manage, and repair those static defense systems such as trenches, etc. 3. Here's something that can help Ukrainians in clearing the Orc Trenches, "Thermite Grenades" it is Not Banned Internationally and can only be used where there is Only military personnel i.e. a Soldier, if Thermite Grenades are used against Unarmed Civilians, the act will be looked upon as a War Crime.
Why don't they use teargas and/or smoke to storm these trenches with their deep underground paths? Either by drone or individual troops. It would show where all the other entrances are at and clear out any enemy troops.
Victory Ukraine 🇺🇦
Been there. In a very lower level. We did “patrol “. Every day moving and searching. Every night digging fighting positions. Deep holes. Our real main weapon the shovel. I suffer for the Ukraine 🇺🇦. Brave doing the necessary. Sokoly flies.
Will the cluster bombs or shells greatly help the Ukrainian advance on these type positions
But as for trenches in where I way near Bakmhut, that is your best friend. I will make a video about my experience of trench warfare in the coming of days.
Where are the flamethrowers at? They were effective and widely used in the past and Ukraine needs them now
I don’t think they are allowed under the Geneva convention. Once they are introduced on the battlefield then they are available to both sides. No one want to die like that.
Slava Ukrainii
4:56 That dude on the left took a round to the head. Damn.
The main problem isn't trenches. It's minefileds, artillery and, of course, aircrafts. Also mosscovits bought 30 times more drones from china that Ukraine.
generals come in when politicians fail. even the us general is saying there is no military solution to this, only political.
Were America to have supplied long-range missiles to destroy supplies, the Ruzzian trenches, without food and ammo, would be graves.
Correct. Long range missile would save many Ukrainians.
@@TonyM540yes but this is not part of the plans of Europe and the USA, they like to watch us die. the guarantors who took the weapon in exchange for our safety stand aside and give the weapon doses from a pipette
Wonder if mentioning Rabbi Schneerson would get me in trouble here... Check, 1, 2. Getting Slavs to fight Slavs is a brilliant plan though. Just pay them, and they'll do it! I imagine some day of owning a bank or two, myself. Maybe one day I can even print the money. That'd make things so much easier. Ukraine has only been a country for 33 years, but everything about it and Russia is pretty much the same. Difference in dialect, but that's about it.
Veteran's "psychological" problems may miss physiological issues: Aerobic exercise, diet/microbiome and healthy sleep solve most "psychological" problems and the cheapest sleeping medicine is low dose sleepy cannabis, possibly hours before bedtime and proper sleep hygiene. Microbiome can be fixed by traditional fermented food. Respecting trenches, high tech, 24/7 surveillance, multi spectra, should be available and integrated, and assault troops should approach Milrem and Allies research and development including robotics for the best equipment. Your friends at Canada's Draganfly can put it all together, including anything you dream up. Ditto the Scandinavians. USA tends to make things more complicated than necessary. They love gadgets that aren't always necessary.
@@kurtwinslow2670
3. When it comes to maintenance, shovels are maybe enough to maintain those trench networks.
@@nieljosephpalca7849 I see your point and blowing up static bridges too before Russia had access. I think Ukraine thought Russia would only stay in Donbass and Luhansk areas, which they did fortify.
@MrKim-kv2vv Saded, but shovels, barbed-wire, trench digging heavy equipment, landmines, etc. are cheap and affordable for Ukraine.
Yes, last year in February when tanks were at the border. They should have dug trenches and booby trapped the roads.
Not really: viewers are ALWAYS SAFER...... .
SLAVA UKRAINE😎💖💖💖💖💖👌💯💯💯💯💯💙💛💙💛💙✊✊✊✊✊✊✌✌✌✌👍👍👍👍
I cannot abide the mouse clicking sound effect
IKR annoying AF
damn..storm troppers
war is hard
That was old school, because Ukraine have not got air power,or the ability to put numbers behind enemy lines, they have to rely going through them. The most terrifying weapon to be used that clears the way fast is the old flame thrower
Against the Geneva convention.
why Ukrainian soldiers don't use balistic shields in attack ,they are not too heavy ? more protection is a key to win
Why don’t we see JDAM bombs being used to destroy enemy trenches ? is it because of russian air defense ?
Why is it that Ukraines counteroffensive has basically stalled ..... even reported in U.S media now. They will never get rid of the Russians this way.
Because the bias is back on the defenders thanks to advanced ATGMs and guided missiles being able to destroy tanks. Blitzkrieg is dead.
