My village is near Hirakud Dam.. Iss Dam ko two main reasons ke liye banaya gaya tha... First : Power Generation and Second : Water Supply.. Lekin sabse badi dukh ki baat jante hain, Aaj tak Hirakud Dam ke pass base Villages main Nahi Public Water Supply ho payi hai aur Nahi hume 24 Hours ki electricity mil pati hai... Yeh jagah definitely bohut Sundar hai aur mere State Odisha ki Pride hai... Log yahan ghumne aate hain, Picnic spot bhi hai... But kya fayada!! Iske pas base logon ko Govt ne aaj tak two basic necessities (Pani aur Bijli) bhi provide nahi kar payi... Bohut jyada protest aur demand karne ke baad 2 saal pehle PHD ki pipe toh har ghar tak pahunchi lekin uss main abtak pani nahi aaya... Halki fulki andhi tufan bhi aa jaye toh Bijli kat jaati hai aur pure Ek Do din tak power cut rehna bohut common si baat hai... Shayad issi ko hi kehte hain "Diya tale Andhera"
