I purchased the km100 a couple weeks ago with the intent of using it to renew locked smart keys, i however have yet to have any success with this operation and have tried different makes and connections all oem keys and none will get passed 1% before it fails. Can you please help provide me with any insight. I previously purchased the xhorse keytool max and their renew adapters and was not able to get them to work either and am really starting to think it's all just fake advertising features that don't really work......?
@ScottSeabrook Both the KM100 and the Key Tool Max can unlock smart keys. I have used both to do it. I don't use adapters; I use the renewing cable and solder the wires to the proper places on the remote's circuit board.
Hi Curtis. Great content as Always. I seen some use the xp400 on a windows laptop. Im on a budget would the xp 400 on windows and km100 work on most european cars as im based in Ireland. And maybe the G box 2 or 3. Thanks Ian.
Probably not. The Km100 is weak on the European vehicles due to the fact that when your doing an all keys lost scenario , the km100 doesn't have the circuit schematics to connect when you have to take the module and put it on the bench. You have 2 strategies: You can save your money and just get the im508 with the xp400 , this way you will have more capabilities to solve more problems. Or you can just purchase the km100 and be strategic on what vehicle you are working . When you make enough money then you can purchase the im508 and xp400

Im trying to program extra key for my 2020 nissan sentra with my Autel KM100E, (will be using autel nissan universal key) but it keep failing at "Step 2: Get a Pin". when i check autels "guide" it tells me that i need some additional cable that plugs in into BCM in the dash board. I have a suspicion that special cable is for another atutel key programmer and not KM100E. When i go to youtube i found multiple videos where people were able to progam nissan key just with Autel KM100E. I also noticed that setting little different, and version of nissan soft ware is different, mine is "Nissan V1.71", where all the people on the to TH-cam use version "Nissan V1.60". What do you think the problem is? Autel tech support is useless! :(
How do you read data and process immo data with km100? Please upload a new video. I have checked by transferring data with laptop but it doesn't work.

regarding lexus key working but not the remote
I just looked at my km100 in lexus menu shows option - ECU synch learning -
and the help screen says that it serves to - engine start via remote - and - sync ID box and steering lock
Can you confirm if this 'ECU sync learning option' will make the remote working?

Show km100 generating a transponder chip or cap
I’ve been considering one of these but have been unable to find whether or not it will work on some of the vehicles I specifically need it for. Will this work on older Land Rover s& Range Rover vehicles? Specifically ‘96-‘16 model years? If not, what model years will it work on if any? Is there a pdf or something you can point me to that lists exactly which vehicles it will work on?
What I observed from the many complaints Autel buyers has is that they are limited with the amount of information you get online. So the risk is alot higher because you will only really know until after you make a purchase. What I did to solve this problem is offer a service to consult the client on what the tool can and cant do . This way they get all the information they need in order to make an educated decision. Alot of time when people book the consultation , they tool they had in mind really wasnt a good fit for them. So what I suggest is to just make sure if you cant get all the information you need, the supplier needs to have a good return policy if you find the tool not to meet your expectations

Universal Key: This is a key that's designed to be programmed for multiple makes and models of vehicles. It's a versatile option, especially for locksmiths and technicians who deal with a variety of cars. Think of it as a "one-size-fits-most" solution. You can program it on-site to match the specific requirements of the vehicle you're working on.
Dealer Key: This is a key that comes directly from the vehicle's manufacturer or authorized dealer. It's pre-programmed to work with a specific make and model, and often a specific VIN. Dealer keys are generally more expensive and may require a trip to the dealership for programming, but they're guaranteed to work seamlessly with the vehicle they're designed for.
So, the main difference boils down to versatility versus specificity. A universal key gives you more flexibility but may require manual programming. A dealer key is plug-and-play but is limited to the vehicle it's designed for.
I've generated dealer keys using aftermarket keys in the past. It can be done from my recollection. I can't recall a specific instance but with a few years of doing this full time I do know it's been done but also there's so much more to do in this industry as I'm just hitting the tip of the iceberg currently.
Never feel comfortable in the place that one thinks they know it all as when that happens someone will come along and knock you off ur pedestal.
Someone like Curtis as he has taught me a wealth of knowledge in the short time I've been checking out his videos.
Remember everyone there's always room for a few in the automotive diagnostic, repair, key programming, programming and locksmith space.
Need to see guys start thinking in the mindset of rising tides in terms of pricing our services as there's guys out here racing to the bottom when it comes to pricing.
ok, i see in videotutorials that you can generate a "dealer key" using im608, i wonder if this dealer key can be done using a universal key , am i rigth? thans again@@AutelConsultancy
I thought IM508 can generate universal Ikey? because I see an universal key in the option
Hello, Let me explain: When the im508 came out it didnt support this function . When the Km100 came out they later added the universal key option on the im508 . However you must have the XP400 in order to use this feature. So in summary if you purchase the im508 alone , you wont be able to use it that feature as you need the xp400.

Hello, unfortunately, I dont offer free solutions. If you want me to check and give you clarity and my professional opinion, then you would need to book. It will save you money because most people who dont get consulted end up buying the wrong tool and then they waste time and money trying to figure out which one is right for them.

My km100 will not program all key lost for 2017 Chrysler 200
What I would do in that situation is log in and have the client do the procedure again. I would record the session and submit the data logging for the Engineers to see what the core issue is. . Try to contact your supplier or Autel New York and have them follow that framework to find out what the problem is.

Ok, I finally got the keys programmed to the 2017 Chrysler 200, if you generate a unervisaral key with the km100 for a 2017 Chrysler 200 it will give you a hitag2(ID46) for immobilizer type which is wrong, so that's why the key wasn't working. After hours of researching, I found the 2017 Chrysler 200 immobilizer was a hitag aes(ID4A). I was only able to find that key setup under 2011 dodge charger, after generating a key for the 2011 dodge charger, the km100 program keys successfully to the 2017 Chrysler 200.

Key works only by the transponder, keyless entry won’t work and the key has to place at the button to start the vehicle
