The KM100 is better in regard to ODB programming of the keys into the vehicle. The Key tool MAX ( and pro version ) is not reliable for programming and is much harder and limited and can delete all keys rendering a disabled vehicle. However , the Key Tool Max series and the lower Mini which needs an app run on a smart phone is best if you need to create Their XT27a super chips for transponder functionality and transponder cloning to multiple keys, and creating universal smart keys which also can be cloned which allows the setup of multiple duplicate keys exceeding the vehicle IMMO learned/registered Key limit which is typically 2-4 keys. I have the KM100, Xhorse VVDI key tool max pro, and the Xhorse VVDI mini. I wish I did not buy the max pro because I never had the need to use since the mini key tool does everything except OBD programming which the KM100 excels at.
Any input about the vvdi mini obd tool i have the im508s and the km100 as well as the xtool ds9 and wanted to get some xhorse gear because I heard it was good for mercedes bmw and German vehicles... I was looking at the vvdi tool pro max but I head what you say about the km100 and the vvdi mini tool... now I'm thinking if I should only get rhw mini tool

I was looking at the VVDI Key Tool Mini and contacted their support but they told me the mini could not make copies for my keys. They suggested the Plus or the Max. Going by your video it sounds like it can create clones? The car we only have one key currently for is a 2015 Skoda Fabia and the other vehicle is a 2003 Renault Master campervan. Do you have any advice which machine would suit best? I was also thinking of getting the Dolphin X005 to pair with the Mini, or the Max if the Mini isn’t up to it… Thanks 👍🏻

You can buy a kit of the keys, then you can pair them with the remotes, I would stick to one brand, xhourse or keydiy and get the blades to suit that brand of remotes

I'll do EU and Asian cars, US cars are extremely rare here. Im kinda lost. 608 is beyond my budget so I've been looking at km100, xhorse vvdi max pro and now this 508.
Am I missing something because to me the only useful comparison or rundown worth putting together is a list of car make, modal, modal year and which device/ software is effective at completing specific tasks I.e. key fob cloning. Why has he singled out Merc in this comparison, and thd question makes no sense without specifying the version MB key fob the device works with?

Can you tell me which machine will let me clone a transponder and or chip then reprogram it to my bike. I purchased 2 new Triumph keys with transponders in them from Triumph dealer uncut. I can get them cut at ace hardware for 2 dollars, and if I have to pay the dealer to program , then I rather buy a machine and do it myself. Bought the Xhorse Key Tool Max to clone VW keys based on this video. After getting it I tried to clone an ID48 key from a 2005 Jetta. Tool says that function not available. Says I have to buy 10 of their remotes to enable this function. No mention of that anywhere.
Put a HOLD recommendation on XHorse VVDI mini. It does not work with Android 13. Their App demands location and storage privileges - presumably for marketing reasons, not technical. We will see how quickly they fix that.

Do you know which tool will clone US market Prius transponder in a HYQ14ACX Smartkey to make a backup key with? My Key tool max doesn't do it.

Get both if you can, I don't think the key tool plus has the same wide range of of programming,and the 608 dose not have the remote generate, get both

cn900 mini does unlock keys in special functions smart key it renews Toyota prox keys also it unlocks meg 48 as well not all 48 but some.
Missed the JMA tools? Used them for many years. Bit dated now. Can't go past Kd-X2.
