Dear Greg both this waltz and your analysis fascinate me! Thank you!
There is nothing wrong with playing this Waltz at slow tempo. Chopin sounds magical at various tempo. 19 years old ! Wow! A real genius.
Yes,!!!
I actually think I prefer the slower tempo. I play it that way and it seems to fit the character of the piece better. Thanks for this analysis; it was very helpful!
The only Chopin waltz I learned and I was 13 years old. Beautiful piece!
I wish there was 48 hours in a day,,, you inspired me to go back and relearn this. Love it…
I was thinking the exact same thing. 🤩
You d still procrastinate
As always, a deep analysis in a easy language. Thanks for the simple way of teaching. Not only a master on piano, but a master in translating complex feelings into words
I learned this waltz a long time ago. Thank you for playing it. I heard it with Nikita Magaloff in Marseille, when I lived there. Thank you and wishing you a very nice Sunday.
Sir your videos are truly delightful. I find myself coming back every so often after first listening from start to finish to the Chopin Nocturne op 55. no. 2 and op. 62 no. 1 analyses. May we continue to share the possessive beauty of Chopin.
Thank you Luke! All the best!
Danke!!! Habe mir gerade die Noten ausgedruckt und mache mich an die Arbeit !😊
This is for me really music from Chopin, that I had heard in my childhood in my soul very long time before I knew Chopin. Thank you so much for your really emotional sharing. I think your heart, my heart and Chopin' s heart have a same point. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Very nice lecture as always! Thank you for taking the time
I’m 16 and just started playing this, it’s very beautiful. Thank you for your analysis. I really want to make sure I’m understanding and feel this piece the way the composter did.
Beautiful interpretation with useful comments and insights from the artist.
I been playing this Chopin Waltz for decades (I'm 66) and you must have a different version than I learned. Many different sections.
Hi Tom. Yes, there are a few different versions of this Waltz. I chose the one I liked the most. On my edition (National Ekier Edition) there were 3 different versions to choose.
Thank you dear Greg for this waltz. I am learning it again. It has been a long time since I studied it. It is beautiful. Many many thanks.
Great video. It helps me to understand and then play the waltz better. Thank you so much.
It is a real pleasure to learn this waltz opus 69 n°2 from F. Chopin. I am at a slow tempo, but I think it doesn't really matter. It is very elegant. I need to practice. Thank you dear Greg.
Good-afternoon dear Greg. Your teaching is of great help. I am learning the third page and wih lots of Joy. Thank you and wishing you a very nice Sunday.
You analysis Is really helpful! I' m studying this valzer in this days. Thanks a lot for your video!
Greg your playing is so exquisite. Love listening to your beautiful playing and interpretations of Chopin. I am beginning this piece and am an early intermediate pianist. Could you please do a a video on the fingering for this piece some time?
Hello! I'm not really doing videos of fingering. I encourage you to experiment and try to find your fingering which will be the most comfortable. Try many different versions, do it right hand alone and check small parts. Choose the most natural for your hand. Every hand is different. I hope it will help!
really appreciate this video, learning this piece and will be perfecting it for years to come, my favourite non orchestral chopin piece, so nice to have this discourse on it
Good luck!
Thank you very much dear Greg for this piano lesson. It takes me quite a while to learn it. But that's OK.
Hello my dear Greg. I have to say i'm a really big fan of your work. I went to Varsow and got to listen to some Chopin, and since then your videos help me so much to understand some pieces. Thank you for your videos!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Belíssima interpretação amei
I just started to re-learn it yesterday, and I've come here today to see if you uploaded an analysis of this piece, just to find that you made this yesterday... Amazing ahahah
Amazing! What a coincidence. Yes, I'm still finishing the posthumous works!
This waltz looks not too difficult. Yet, I realize that I have to be very careful. So, I decided to learn it very slowly. Your explanations are clear and very useful. And I am sincerely grateful. Thank you dear Greg for teaching music this way.
Thank you dear Greg. You are helping me a lot. Have a very nice week-end.
Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you thank you thank you,,,,❤
Excellent performance Greg ❤
Thank you!
I just love your explanations of this waltz. Therefore, I will study it again with great joy. Thank you dear Greg.
I'm happy to hear that!
@@gregniemczuk I just love how you explain Chopin. It is not scolarly. Yet, it is very interesting. You go deeply into the feelings of Chopin. It is very well explained. Thank you so much dear Greg.
@@gregniemczuk You have the gift for giving what it takes to learn with all your best. Thank you dear Greg.
Great stuff, your analyses are so insightful, I also enjoyed the one you did for Op 64 no.2. Let's take a minute to appreciate a master of his craft decipher, in his second language, the poetry of Chopin's music.
Great Analysis .I agree play at a slow tempo.
Thank you Sharmila
😮I study this waltz paderewski edition!
I was very surprised!
there's another edition.I don't know that.thank you for telling me‼︎
You're welcome! I prefer this one
I do love your facial expressions. They are a delight. Now, tell me, why no talk about pedalling? Often the pedal gets very little input. I wonder why. I’d love you to make a video on pedalling Schuberts slow movements, especially when there are staccato markings. Thank you for your great service. You must have had wonderful parents! At least a very happy childhood.
Thank you so much!!! Ok, I will do a video about that although it's a very wide topic!
@@gregniemczuk it sure is! Which is why its neglected!
You teach me so much for my own playing, will you give a Concert in Germany, Stuttgart, Mainz, Freiburg? That would be great!
I'll send offers there!
Oh how much I have been waiting for this video of this waltz. I call it "The Midnight Waltz" (in my mind of course) because that's what this waltz makes me feel like and imagine. Like a fairytale. I would like to ask you to also analyze his C minor posthumous nocturne as well.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! Yes, Nocturne is on my list just after I finish all the Waltzes!
Beautiful title!
Ah! maestoso!
Thanks... I'm just learning this beautiful piece ... For the trio part the second motif, where there are repeated notes , do you find it necessary/helpful to switch between fingers on the right hand( eg. Bar 53 in the B major trio section, the D# , 4-3-4) or should/could you play that (same note) rhythm with the same finger? Thanks so much for these teaching videos 💙😎
Darling professor você poderia por favor colocar a " tradução " no vídeo .pois assim eu poderia aproveitar com todo carinho a sua amável é valiosa explicação .abraço
For the Algorithm ❤
A good Video... again ;)

It's a KAWAI
Greg Darling eu gostaria tanto de saber o que você está falando! Por favor você poderia por a tradução? Abraço
Absolutely marvelous like always!!! Thanks a lot. May I have an Email to exchange more personnally?
Sure! gnpiano@aol.com
How well said
Im currently practicing this for and i find this very useful
Oh right, i scratched out the tenpo marking because chopin never wrote a tempo😂😂
Bravo!
Do you have piano courses online?
Yes I do! Write me at gnpiano@aol.com
Bravo!!! A question, overall, for this beautiful piece, full pedal, half, 1/4. Thanks
Depends on the acoustic of the hall and the piano itself...
Sorry, 😢not me, you in this video?😅
@@Simonmas666 yep
Please dear Greg, can you explain minor seconds. I don't understand. Thank you.
It's the closest distance possible between two keys
great! I think Rachmaninoff recorded this one, too.
Darling professor gostaria de entender o que você está falando abraço
I don't consider this piece a very sorrowful one. Maybe because people play it with a fast tempo in most cases.
Yes..... The tempo makes a huge difference
Sorry there were 😅
讲的很好,但是我听不懂😂
😐
I guess you're what they call a Chopin freak, I am too, but can't play like you
Hahahaha. Check me out: www.niemczuk.com
