Thanks for sharing your video of Hoshino Resort Tomamu, and learning how to ski. I hope you had a great time learning that new skill. Regarding the buffet, did you guys try Nininupuri Buffet??? I think they offer a much better selection of food fare there for perhaps, a slightly higher fee. We were there in 2020 and it was glorious!!

We had a great time learning how to ski! And can’t wait to learn more about skiing again! Oh we did! The breakfast we had (in the video) was over there. Their toast and bread was heavenly. What I would give to eat them again😂 Indeed glorious!

Did you self learn or got a trainer? We are planning to go tomamu for our first ski as well. Not sure how many hours of classes should we get and whether to get two days lift pass and rental. Hope you can share more insights. Thanks

Hello! We didn’t manage to get a class as they were full- that’s why we fell more than a dozen times😅. So yea, maybe go book earlier if you can? (We think can book online also) And yea, we think definitely better to get the basics down before taking the ski lift up to try higher slopes. We only did a day and wished we had done two or more if possible, cos’ it was so fun and since you’re there right? Can be quite tiring and uncomfortable at the start cos’ of all the gear you’re wearing. So yea, don’t be shocked if you feel exhausted soon. The ski jackets they provided were warm enough, so we wished we didn’t wear our own jacket inside. If you’re winging it or not, we think it’s helpful to watch plenty of TH-cam ski tutorial videos! We think it’s important to learn how to brake and how to get up if you fall. Oh ya, don’t forget your ski lift pass when you head out! It can be quite the hassle if you need to head back to the locker. Hope all this helps! Enjoy and stay safe!

@@paaigeandmanfred wow you all managed to self learnt 😂😂 not bad.
Ya i found klook classes is cheaper. Still considering whether to book directly from resort or through klook.
Will you go back skiing again?

Hahaha if you considered that “self-learned”😂 I guess go with the cheaper one then? Unless you are only ready to commit when you get there? We say just go for it! Since the intention is to go there to ski yea? Hahaha. Other than skiing, it’s probably just the Cloud Walk, Ice Village, and eating at the different places there. We would definitely love to be better at skiing and can’t wait to try it again. But maybe at other places since we’ve done Tomamu. Definitely one of our top highlights during our Japan trip!
