These episodes just keep bringing me back to those teenage years when I would watch this religiously and DREAM of one day living this kind of life. I just thought Whitney was the coolest and I copied a lot of the looks, with the hair accessories and statement necklaces. I ended up working as a makeup artist in the fashion industry and these episodes just reminds me of where my interest in this industry really started and I am now realizing how inspirational this was to me.
I instantly remembered that paparazzi shot with the striped top, boyfriend jeans and Chanel shopping bag. Iconic 👌 We need to hear the funny story about the bag you bought! x

Ok so Whitney, you get so down about how you styled yourself then and let me tell you I remember when your styles were in magazines for being the epitome of trends in these times. I remember the last episode you did when you wore the leopard print tank and neon nails I distinctly remember that being *the* look of that time and it maybe even being in a magazine (??). But for sure I copped some inspo from your style on the city and I def did the hair twist on one side (ya know?) for the *longest* time cause I loved your hair (and also it’s really convenient cause I hate hair in my face and also should we bring it back??) I’m a little late to the party here and have just spent the last few days binge watching season 1 till this episode. Totally taken me back to my single days in my twenties where I would put on my City and Hills DVD’s while I got ready to hit the town. Life’s quite different now with hubby and almost 3 kids later, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reliving a little bit of my youth! I have a theory about Olivia and why she was so problematic. Do you think when signing onto the show she expected to fill the BFF role? She thought you were going to let her be your liaison to NYC, but when you ended up choosing a different friend group she got pissed. Upset really because role on the show was diminished from what she originally thought. As time went on and she became more of a nemesis due to that anger coming across in filming. Kind of like a snowball effect. Also she seems a bit of a narcissist and the worst thing that can happen to a narcissist is someone having unfavorable view of them. They want to be idolized at all times, not the villain.
All fashion girls were like Olivia back in the day. Whitney and Lauren were too LA and unrealistic for the industry, but I guess the viewer could relate to them more. How many girls were watching this show and dreamed to live their life back then.
