I sleep with a CPAP. When I'm on a cruise I have to have an extension cord across the cabin because the plug is on the desk. I love that it looked like there are plugs on the lamp near the bed.
We play extension cord jump rope for CPAP, etc., too. I'm ok with it because I'm used to it now, but yeah, it would be great if cruise lines would pay heed.
What cruise ship were you on? As far as I know, RCL does not allow guests to bring extension cord on board the ship for safety reason. If the extension cord is over loaded, it could catch fire. The Cruise Line would keep the extension cord or other prohibited items, such iron, knife, etc., and return the items to the guests at the end of the cruise.
@@kuenc8344 When I was on Celebrity Solstice, I asked for an extension cord which they provided. First cruise and I did not know I needed one so never even attempted to bring one. I have a trip booked on RCI Explorer of the Seas. I contacted customer service and they said they would have one in my room waiting for me.
@@darrengimbel5896 I don't know much about the Explorer of the Seas. But all the Oasis class and Quantum class ships have AC and USB outlets mounted conveniently near the desk for charging smartphone or laptop computer. You don't believe the stuff some people wanted to bring with them to the cruise. I saw coffee makers, toaster oven, many cheap power extenders that were placed on the table for the guests to claim at the disembarkation day. I think the extension cord provided by the cruise ship is in high quality and tested. It is interesting to know that RCL allow guests to bring hair curler on board the ship. Maybe due to the fact that the hair curler does not generate high heat as hot as iron. However, one has to be cautious when using the hair curler. It happened in one of our cruises. My was left a hair curler plugged and placed on the desk while she was dressing up in the bathroom. I saw smoke coming out from the hair curler. As it turned out, there was a short circuit inside the hair curler, and I could smell the burning of plastic. Luckily I was in room and immediately unplug the hair curler. If you can imagine if the smoke triggered the smoke alarm, we would have a wet room for the rest of the 7-day cruise as the ship was fully booked. So be careful when using hair curler in the stateroom.
Thank goodness the cruise lines are finally listening and have added more outlets and USB ports. It makes life so much easier, especially when traveling with more than one person. You’re room looked perfect! Thanks for showing all of us.
Here I go again living vicariously, My 2020 Alaska Cruise can’t come fast enough. How I enjoy watching you live your best life while I’m enjoy my own. You a beautiful reminder... get out and live a little. Love each and everyone of your videos.
I just returned today from my Canada New England cruise on the Celebrity Summit and I had an ocean view cabin and it was wonderful and exactly like yours except I did not have those shelves on the wall that are by the desk and of course no balcony. Ample closet space and drawers. I am glad I did not spend the money for a balcony because we had cold, windy weather for the most part and 5 days into the cruise I got sick with a bad cold and chest congestion and had to go to the doctor onboard. Loved my tour of Quebec city, but the guide was an older lady who repeated herself and talked more about her personal life and family than what we were seeing. Loved it. I have stories about the buffet for you that you will be able to relate to. LOL 🤨
They did a nice job on the cabins , with the lighter colors it makes the cabin look bigger . Love the balcony...❤ . Thanks for sharing your cabin with us .
Never been on Celebrity. I can see the numerous, little upgrades from Royal in the room, bathroom and balcony. Nice! Have a safe and great vacation Don.
Very nice Stateroom. After watching your video of Celebrity's Mellinium and Tony & Jenny's of the Celebrity Equinox, I believe I'd like to cruise on a Celebrity Ship. Have a fantastic Asian Vacation w/Tony.
That is a beautiful room and you could hold a dance on the balcony! I love falling asleep on rough seas. I have avoided the balcony rooms because of cost of course, but also because I think I would tend to spend way too much time in my room. Maybe it would be ok on an Alaskan cruise...but, favorite part of the cruise is getting to meet and mingle.
I've been in rough seas like that where the cabinet doors and drawers would slide open, close and repeat all night long, not to mention the hangers in the closet jangling like a musical instrument. Ever since I had packed masking tape to keep things shut in bad weather. But the thing I like the most in your cabin is an actual seat at the desk. Every cruise I have ever been on (16) only had the small padded circular stool... hate that thing... so uncomfortable. Thanks, Don!
I had a shower small than that at my last flat, and it was painted a horrible bright yellow. But the water pressure was really good so that was a bonus - it isn't always in some flats.
Great room Don, very nice balcony. I'm glad to hear your having a great time. As long as you don't run into the food hogs. Thanks for sharing. Take care of yourself and have an amazing day, and an incredible week. 🤗
Nothing like getting a free upgrade right well nearly free! Yeah that balcony look pretty sweet! Thanks for all the videos I really like the one about the fish women buffet lol! Keep up the good work we look forward to your videos! hopefully some more tours of the ship I don't think going to Asia would be at my alley but I want of mine cruising to other parts of the world! Now if they just have a cruise where they allow your pets that would be so kewl!
Thanks for the tour! That's a nice space for a long cruise, especially. The plug situation is amazing and something all cruise lines need to do. Can't wait for more! 💖Travel safe!
Mr Don, you have a terrific room !! Love that balcony, I can see myself seating and enjoy the fantastic view with a cup of tea and scones.... Well, is just a dream 😢 Anyway, enjoy your cruise hopping the internet gets better. Ciao and thank you for sharing
Because of you and Tony I've been looking @ Celebrity as a different cruise line to go with. The room has earth tone colors which for me have a very calming affect and that is what I am guessing they were going for. You got a great room and thank you for sharing!!
I was on the Summit a couple weeks ago and the total makeover was fantastic. My only gripe about the bathroom(besides the shower door, but I see why they did it) were the toilet paper holders. The roll kept falling off because it's an open ended hook! I sailed in an Oceanview, and loved all the drawer space available. The hump(aft cabins in the bump out)cabins are quite desirable among regular Celebrity cruisers for having larger verandas and they usually get booked quickly.
Wow the cabin rooms look fantastic having a balcony makes such a difference even though it's not the larger type it's still comfortable, so happy to see that you are having a good time Don on your cruise.😎👍👋
Don, a little motion of the ocean gives a sense of being at sea. Never understood taking a cruise out in the wide/wild blue yonder and expecting a ride on a lake. I'm being a little facetious having sailed 32 years as an engineering officer in the American Merchant Marine. But when the sight of the coast line is lost, one has to expect the unexpected. Here's a tip I hope you never have to use. In a really good storm where the bottles go across the room and break, tuck the life preservers under the mattress on each side and cradle yourself in, lest the ship's roll throw you out of your bunk. Got off the Breakaway a couple weeks before the New Orleans debacle. Lucky. We're doing the Edge soon after the new year. Hope to report. Keep up the good stuff. Thanks.
What a great cabin!!! Thank you for showing us! We hope to go on our first 16 night cruise in 2021...long wait but worth it! Glad the seas got more calm for you❤😊
Thanks for the comprehensive tour Don. The new decor appears to be influenced by the Celebrity Edge model, grey tone timbers, marble and glass. Very clean and sleek. Enjoy the large balcony, that’s something you don’t get on the Edge.😂
Hallelujah for the extra plugs! We did a transatlantic on Millennium last April, before refurbishment. (CCL is our favorite.) Our room was #7139 which is designated an accessible room as my husband and I both have mobility scooters. We were so worried noise from elevators would be awful, being next to our room, however we never heard a sound from them. Our problem was the size of the room. It was the size or less than a regular balcony room!! Very disappointing.
Great room Don and smart buy on the extra $68 total for the larger balcony. I took a Celebrity cruise but didn't care for it, it was the Solstice. I hated that they had zero laundry facilities and you had to pay a huge amount to have the ship services do your laundry. Hence, lots of chones on the patio furniture! Made it look like a ghetto boat. Your ship looks much nicer.
I had a balcony like that once. There was even enough room for a couple potted plants. It was nice. I moved, but I won't miss the stair climb to the second-floor apartment.
Minelum, Millennium, vowels, vows. 😁 Also wifi, you could go to the main desk to make a scene and overreact about how inconvenienced you are and demand satisfaction, but I would bet somebody already has.
I can't wait to go on my first cruise hopefully next year depending on all the covid stuff. I appreciate you doing all of this and showing us the ins and outs of how to do it right.
Thanks for the room tour, I’m going on the Millennium next year on an cruise round Japan. I’ve booked cabin 6136 as it’s meant to have a bigger balcony as it’s in between the Royal Suites.
chloe5susan hi Chloe, we live in Vancouver, BC. In Spain right now visiting my son, after a Baltic Cruise from Copenhagen. Fly home tomorrow. Last year we took the 11 night cruise on the Millenium Tokyo round trip, all around Japan and to Busan, S. Korea. Then we stayed on-board and did the 15 night cruise from Tokyo to 3 more places in Japan going north and to the north island of Hakaido, then to Petropavlovsk, Russia then 8 days at sea back to Vancouver. It was great, we took all shore excursions from Celebrity, except on 2 Nd cruise we repeated the port of Aomori, so we just walked around the town the 2 Nd time. At beginning of 2 Nd cruise I got sick though, and by the time I got home and went to the doctors, I had Pneumonia. We really like Celebrity though, we had great waiters and a Somelier who was giving us reserve wines that were priced out of our drink package limit. Japan is wonderful to visit. We had one night pre cruise in an hotel . My most expensive hotel yet at about $400 CAD, but a beautiful hotel. Same one as Celebrity uses. Forget the name, it has Prince in the name. Our cruise next Feb 1st, has 2 different Japan ports on it, in the very south, Okinawa and Kagoshima. Look forward to it, except I will not like the heat in Singapore or Viet Nam. Do you cruise much?
chloe5susan sorry forgot to mention the weather in April in Japan. We missed the Cherry blossom on the main island, but it was in full bloom in Hakodate in north island of Hokkaido. It was about 23C in all places, but cooler up north by about 4 degrees. Then in Russia it was about 6 C and snow on ground, but roads cleared, it had been melting. We had sun most places, but rain in Tokyo first day we arrived. I would not do this route in September as it is Typhoon season there.
I was on the Royal Princess in a Delux Balcony, I am sure you can relate Don, well that Balcony hardly allowed me to put my Tripod on if I had to get over to the opposite side I would have to slowly squeeze by, that said my Emerald Deck balcony was 85% percent private, no one could see inside unless they peeked from the room next door. Your room almost looks like my room in the Royal Princess, did it have a Love Seat? Great Video.
I wish I was on the same boat as you are. I'd like to meet you! Thank you for showing this ship though. I told my husband we need to figure out how to get to Japan, and I think we may have a solution! 🤣 This was awesome! Looking forward to the next one! Coukd you show what entertainment is on the ship? Maybe the food available..?
siggy dee09 We did two cruises on the Millenium April 2018, an 11 day round Japan and Busan, S. Korea, then stayed onboard and did the 16 day Tokyo to Vancouver, with 3 places in Japan and Petropavlovsk, Russia, both fabulous. This was before the refurbish. Now Feb 1 st 2020 we are doing Singapore to Hong Kong, 14 days. excited.
That $68 balcony deal was a bargain! Thank you for the tour! They did a nice job with the refresh.
Don was on the Celebrity Millennium in September 2019 (as per the TV information). He was in Cabin #7173 which is a Category 2A Deluxe Veranda

Wow! Nice balcony cabin Don!
Great tour, hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise 👍
Thank you for letting us see this, I appreciate it.. I've never been on a cruise and this is as close as I can get lol.
I love celebrity!
Great post :) We are doing the millennium in 2021 from Tokyo to Vancouver so this was great :D
You have the tidiest cabin ever!
Awe heck id be happy being a stowe away in a dark hole. Lol glad your having fun.
Beautiful and a great additional $68 investment. Continue to enjoy.
Those rooms look nice after the refurbishment. I’m looking forward to my cruise on this ship.
Another great presentation thanks

Don, thanks so much for posting videos from your cruise! I really enjoy them and look forward to them!
Nice cabins. We did the reverse itinerary April 2018 before the refurbishment. Going on her Feb1 , 2020 from Sing to HKG, 14 days. Thx Don.
Chris Williams how was your weather when you Didn’t that? Did you do tours when you arrived. Would love to talk to you!
