Have first a look on the adjustment of the balance shafts! You may replace the engine mounts without further dismounts, but you need a motorbridge to lift the engine and small hands. For gas leakage their are detectors and additives to the gas to be seen in UV-light.
Sir. Getting back to you . I lost oil pressure in my 1983 944 . Previously, i had vibration at low rpm and suspected my mounts were bad and then someone's post said that the oil pick up tube could have cracked due to bad mounts. so, i went through the trouble of removing the oil pan to check the pickup tube and it looks ok to my disappointment. I also removed the PRV . This is just a plain piston and spring (no o ring) and the piston looks smooth but a bit decolored but smooth.
Hallo Rene. die meisten zum Verkauf stehenden 944 haben einen Wartungsstau, d.h. beim S2 meist Riemen, Wapu und Steuerkette. Man kann aber in der billigeren Preisregion bei einem 20 Jahre alten Auto nicht erwarten, dass alles neu ist. Der Preis muss halt zum Zustand passen. Ein großes Problem ist Rost im Schweller. Ein Austausch der Schweller ist sehr aufwendig und teuer. Für weitere Infos würde ich das PFF empfehlen. Dort gibt es viele Threads zu diesem Thema. Ich bin dort aktiv. MfG Jürgen

Nein, er hat keine Sperre. Die Sperre war auch beim S2 nur eine Option. Das im Video gezeigte Öl wird von vielen Besitzern des 944 benutzt. Wie Du schriebst, hat es sogar eine Freigabe von Porsche und es ist relativ preisgünstig.
Ich nehme mal an Du hast einen 16V. Wahrscheinlich ist es nicht die Ventildeckeldichtung selbst, die ist nur für außen zuständig. Die Kanäle für die Zündkerzenlöcher haben eigene Dichtringe. Von alleine wird es nicht mehr dicht. Also solltest Du irgenwann den Wechsel einplanen. Dies ist auch eine gute Gelegenheit die Gleitschuhe des Kettenspanners zu untersuchen, oder wenn sie schon älter sind, zu wechseln.

Es ist ein S2 wie ihrer, die Gleitschue sind 2012 erneuert worden.. ich möchte eigentlich nur die Zündkerzen wechseln aber wenn es sein muss kann ich auch die Dichtung erneuern.. jedoch war es nicht viel Öl und wie gesagt nur Zyl 1 und 2 der Motor ist ansonsten knochentrocken was die Dichtunge angeht. Sofern es nicht schädlich ist würde ich erstmal die Kerzen wechseln alles reinigen und dann nach ein paar Wochen nochmal nachsehn wie viel rauskommt.

Ja, der Preis ist bei stimmigem Gesamtbild okay. Die Laufleistung des Motors liegt bei 400000 km und mehr. Natürlich ist bei einem Fahrzeug diesen Alters immer was zu tun.

Guten Tag ich habe beim entfernen der Zündkerzenstecker an den Zylindern 1 und 4 etwas Öl festgestellt welches auf dem unteren Teil des Gummisteckers stand. Ist das bedneklich oder kann die Ventildeckeldichtung damit zu tun haben und ist es wenn es sich lediglich um einen tropfen Öl handelt notwendig die Dichtung zu erneuern ?. Gruß
Hi, check the Hall sensor, especially its connector in front of the camshaft housing, right side. Generally, it seems that the DME is running in some emergency mode. Thus a signal from a sensor is missing or faulty. Greetings, Jürgen

Can I use the sensors from a base model? I might as well replace the speed sensor too. I bought this car 6 months ago. Would someone try to be hiding something a fault by removing the reference sensor? The person who sold the car to me was very dishonest and now looking back is a scumbag for hiding dents and problems with the car.

Sehr gut gemacht mit allen wichtigen Arbeiten am 944 ohne Schnörkel und langen Vorreden. Ob alle Service Werkstätten so genau arbeiten ?

Hallo, kannst Du auch bei stehendem Motor messen. Du solltest Dexron II nicht III nehmen.

irina25661 yea, the plastic connectors disintegrated. Haha. I just bought new parts to replace the connector. Thanks!
