CGI hahahahah I feel old!!!!!! Started my carreer one year earlier we probably around the same age!!!!!And yes think about that everyday and that's why I'm here... I can't loose the opportunity... instead of complain that AI gonna steal your job... just jump and use it!

What exactly are you automating that can replace employees? I keep seeing echo chambers on Reddit that AI is not replacing employees, only augmenting their abilities.

Glad to know someone else is having the same concerns that I am. It's hard to think of a good excuse to integrate AI into a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse app.

Always good to see a new Overpass video! Great to see you back in the states and enjoying your stay.
It would be cool to get a broad look at your remote work setup someday if you think it would warrant its own video. I envy anyone who is able to step away from a big monitor and full keyboard and still get real work done.
I for one welcome more AI videos too. It's funny. My friends and family assume that AI must be a sore subject for me. All they hear is that AI is going to make developers obsolete. I say that might happen someday, but right now what it's doing is making my job easier, more enjoyable, and way more fulfilling.
As you said, this technology is creating so much opportunity. I have had a blast automating aspects of my existing projects and revisiting ideas I previously abandoned with a new understanding of what's possible. The OpenAI API - especially now that it can reliably and consistently respond in JSON - feels like an "everything API."

Yeah, I was so excited when they first announced the JSON response back when they did. And the seed value. It may be able to code later. But most of the time, we aren't hired to write code. The same way an author is not required to type. We are hired to delivery technical solutions. And that's still a skill that the normies don't have :-)

Thank you for your great content
As an independent developer, I often worry about being eliminated by this fast changing AI era
Can the software developed be profitable sustainably, or can it still make money for the several years in the future?
But it’s hard to find like-minded people to communicate with each other about these things.

Hope you enjoy your stay stateside... im going through the same conundrum... any kind of work assessment and requirements decomposition now must also include an AI assessment of sorts.

IT is a good idea to use AI to do low value tasks. However, for complex tasks, a person requires a good programmer.

Absolutely this is another gold rush x 1000000. I’m fairly sure there will be a day people can not function without AI.
