Dude, sorry this fragrance has gotten me so many compliments. I only spray like 3-5 sprays. It lasts all day. It def has a mature smell, so I won’t agree with your 25-40 age range. More like 30-50. It’s sexy, but only sexy if you can pull this off. I don’t see any 20 year olds being able to wear this. It def has a vintage smell combined with something new. I absolutely love it. Best part is it’s 1/5 the cost of Sauvage Elixer and gets the job done.
Elixer is more like a niche frag, and like many niche frag, they are not created for mass appeal, By the fireplace, or oud for greatness, for example are not for everyone, how about encre noir, or Bentley Intense man, talk about polarizing, If I want to please the masses, I'll use some mainstream designer frag or clone of them, but when I want to enjoy a frag myself, I'll use whatever im in the mood for at the time. Speaking about loud frags, yesterday, I sprayed my shirt, two sprays, with Maison Alhambras Satin Oud, the thing was nuclear, I hang the shirt up, 12 hours later, I use it to go to work, it was still projecting, I got wet in the rain twice, and it was still going strong, 5 sprays of this, and you are a biological WMD. powdery rose, at super nova power.
Super nova haha! Unfortunately asad didn’t please my respiratory system. My body was telling me “get this stuff away from me” I always listen to my nose, my dick and my stomach. They are always honest to me.
For me, the opening is too spicy, but after 30mn max, you get into a beautiful beautiful beautiful scent. Happy to have blind bought it. RECOMMENDED to anyone who likes high class barbershop frags.
In Japan where I live, sauvage EDT-Parfum are massive hits. They are bangers! BUT Elixir isn’t even sold here. Because even though it is a finely made fragrance people wouldn’t tolerate such a loud smell on people and it’s frowned upon! I often do perfume approval tests on the train and see how people react. Le male, Dunhill Icon, Versace pour homme and Prada Luna Rossa black were very well received and women would flock near me. Strong perfumes like this, Code Absolu and L’aventure (good aventus clone) repulsed many people and I had half of the train car for myself. I realized that I don’t need strong smelling fragrances which hide my natural masculine essence (the true aphrodisiac) but should compliment it.

After getting a bottle expecting a a good clone of Elixir Unfortunately I was not that impressed and will find someone to give it away to, for £20+ I guess if you like this scent you've got a winner BUT I thought I was the only one that noticed that strong clove smell which I cant stand personally (reminding me of clove oil that some would use to numb the pain of a toothache etc.) which I think has been put in as a cheaper alternative to the pepper you get in the original Dior. Nothing wrong with that obviously due to the amount you pay for the fragrance but I found it very nauseating and its now even put me off buying an elixir because now all I can smell is ASAD. As said in the video VERY loud, in your face and it will grab attention but do be warned it will not always be the attention you're looking for and you may get some dirty looks. @@douglassalley9117 5.5 an 6.5 is pretty good
It is amazing
But if you don’t like elixir.. yeah.. then you wouldn’t like this for sure
But I understand it’s not a mass pleasing.. it’s a diff smell and strong.. so it makes sense some people will not like
Yeah it's just not for me. If I want a luxurious strong spicy fragrance then I go for Halfeti leather.
@@Markus.Vidal247 everyone seem to love ombré leather… to me it just smell as…. Strong leather… I don’t see the appeal..
Maybe one day?
I haven’t tried that one yet. I’ll check it out sometime but Im not a fan of Tom Ford. I think they are overrated.
@@Markus.Vidal247 right
I was never much interested because it is expensive and I am not going to pay those prices.. but now that I know they have some clones, I might try on my arm another day
I just tried the ombré leather on paper and was not impressed but you know.. paper we can’t trust much
@@ismael85facts. Thanks for watching man!
Opening is trash.
Mid is bearable
drydown is sublime.
Yeah don't really get the hype but assad brings it to the masses.
Valid points can’t argue that. Cheers mate.
TH-cam needs more honest reviewers like you....keep going man!
Cheers mate! I really appreciate the feedback. I’m just giving my gut feeling. And my gut really wasn’t feeling this at all.
Just because he hates it he's being honest? If the majority loves it they aren't?Scents vary. it's just not for him or for his nose. For example, versace the dreamer gives me an instant headache but I'm not going to say it's a trash fragrance it's simply not for me but others enjoy it
@@stuartchilongozi2439 cheers for watching mate have a good one!
we all have different taste when comes to perfume, thats his own opinion it doesn't mean he is honest . just like me i can't stand on jasmine but to someone they love it.
@@drachirocnarf7563I’m honest when I say I like or don’t like something. And that I think something smells like cheap garbage. Cheers for watching!
Good for a teenager???
It’s too rich in my opinion. Because spice fragrances I associate with maturity. However it depends on your style because this could suit young guys who like to dress up smartly and wear suits, slick clothing.
Did you like my Joker impersonation?
How close is this one in compare to Sauvage elixir. 80% 90%
In my opinion 80% when I smelt both I found that Elixir was stronger, had more spice and licorice. Assad was more woody not as smooth and I picked up the pineapple like note. Elixir smells way better of course. But this is just my observation.
Agreed, for my skin is too spicy, i smell only pepper, on paper smells fine.
Thank you good sir for your honesty.
Do you get compliments from girls for Asad
@@shubham9672 no compliments
Lmao. You’re hilarious. Instant sub. Keep the funny reviews coming.
Much appreciated mate! Have a good one.
I have viewed many reviews on this one and yours is 1 out of 10.
That’s exactly how I felt about Asad! Cheers for watching mate have a good one! xxx
why in the world is the opening more important to you than the dry down. L
Cheers for watching lad have a great new year!
One of my favorite in my collection ASAD. Oh yeah
This suits Mr Bean.
I love lataffa asad
Good! I wish I could.
Do you get compliments from girls
Is it sexy
You're the ONLY other person I've seen say that they disliked Asad. I wasn't a fan of Sauvage Elixir, so I wasn't expecting to love this... but it smells soo cheap and abrasive.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. Thank you good sir!
I guess that's what I wanted to hear all this while I am dog tired of influencers promoting it on every damn channel. I think I agree more with you so it's a SUBSCRIBE from my side
Much appreciated brother. Same here, I’m tired of buying some hyped perfume only to be disappointed. That’s why I don’t want or need a huge collection.
@@Markus.Vidal247 Thanks for reverting back, was wondering could I request you to review scents like Dunhill Zino or Boucheron Jaipur Homme ? There are already a lot of reviews on TH-cam on the subject but I would really appreciate if you could do reviews on these two.
I’ll do my best. I’m always on the look for new stuff to try and I’ll let you know when I do. Thank you.
@@Markus.Vidal247 received mine today, Absolutely disappointed the opening smelled 60% like elixir but on the dry down it started smelling like axe body spray.
@@hmz1402 thanks man. Yeah this stuff isn’t worth the hype at all. There seem to be a lot of diehard asad fans trying to defend this for some reason. This is currently my most viewed but also disliked video 😂
Hey we have the same last name
That makes us practically family!
I got mine a couple of days ago.. I was so happy...went to the bathroom sprayed it in the air... and found it absolutely disgusting. To me, it smells cheap and has this nasty B.O. undertone that is completely off-putting. Went back to it a few hours later, this time spread it on skin and clothes, got the same impression, smells very cheap and it has a note ( dont know what it is exactly ), that I find disgusting. It lasts long, yes, but I dont feel like smelling like cheap perfume for long periods of time... I thought about layering it with something else, but I most probably will give it to a family member that maybe might like it?.. Its the most awful fragrance I have bought so far. Unpleasant surprise.
Then you'll definitely won't enjoy Sauvage Elixir. That one's even stronger.
Thank you good sir for your honest review. I’m glad I’m not the only one. You’re completely right about smelling nice vs longevity. It’s meaningless if the smell is garbage. That just means you stink forever haha! Thanks for watching have a good one! Pinned!
@@Markus.Vidal247 It’s probably the best frag to break up with a chick you are not that into though...Alas I think I found a purpose for this one! It’s the break up frag haha!
@@The7dioses I like your style my man. 😂
haha this is what i get too! too much pepper that smells like cumin or armpit. wasted 28usd on this
Thank you for posting this helpful video
It’s all good. I couldn’t believe how bad this was. I feel that they tried to make a cheap clone rather than make a nice smell. Have a good day!
2-3 miles 🤣🤣
Review is inspired by the generous price tag
Very generous price tag. Can’t deny that. So I can’t be that mad I bought it. Makes a great paperweight.
@@Markus.Vidal247 come back to it after maceration i spent some time on all review sites and the like to dislike was 98%
@@hardgrinder6796I already traded mine unfortunately. But thanks for the idea. That’s rather fascinating the idea of oxidizing the alcohol like a bottle of wine. I’ll definitely Try that in future. 👍🏽
@@Markus.Vidal247 would you try other lattafas in the near future ? I tried Asad and was shocked by what i got for the damn silly price lol.
I would try others by Lattafa. I don’t have an issue with the brand. I think they are doing a good job. Just not feeling this one. Which do you like?
This stuff works wonders in cold winter weather.
Unfortunately I tried this from October to December and it wasn’t for me. I’m glad that you liked it. Thanks for the comments have a good one.
Yeah, it keeps the polar bears at a distance.

Definitely nowhere sensible.
Sauvage is easily a top 5 for me
The original Sauvage is a complete perfume but I prefer Carbon personally. Elixir is not my thing but i can see why it’s popular.
This is the honest review that i have been waiting for. 😂
Thanks man! I’m not a perfume expert but I’m giving my honest feeling. This is a huge steaming turd.
Thanks man! So many triggered people below can’t accept my honesty.
Love this one. ♥️♥️
Bling buy this fragrance but its totally wastage of money.don't beliebve the people on internet
Thank you good sir. What was it that you disliked? The quality, performance, packaging?
I smelled it and I'm not a fan at all
Yeah same here. It’s kinda loud and tasteless for me.
Apparently this perfume has a cult following because of you criticize it people will get triggered! 😂
@@DjSicEm’m bashing it because it’s overrated in my opinion and smells like armpits! I don’t know what people want to smell like spicy armpits. Elixir isn’t my cup of tea but it smells far better than this IMO.
Love the liquorice in elixir but that’s not even noted in the breakdown of asad
I didn’t get any liquorice at all in this nor is it mentioned on its note breakdown on various sites. What I got was a load of pineapple, vanilla and other spices similar to Clove. Some of these sites might be telling porkies.
Elixir smells far better than this. Can’t deny that.
I’m so glad that I got rid of this mess of a fragrance.
Am I the only one who doesn't like Asad and Elixir? I'd rather use a deodorant spray than these.
I think you are, dude. Ha!
I'm completely with you, don't understand the hype on either at all.
@@gstapletonI’m glad you like it. When do you wear this?
@@Markus.Vidal247 I generally wear it on basic outings. I have to place it in my rotation because I have a little over 120 fragrances. Mostly niche brands. Nowadays my scent profile are spicy fragrances. And this DNA fits that bill.
I dislike Elixir. I haven't smelled A SAD tho.
Id agree this is overhyped. Its not smooth at all....screechy spice/vanilla. 5 or 6 out of 10
Good man. That screechy spice is simply ghastly.
