I appreciate how you show a lot of close in macro product shots and a lot of beam shots with a good camera in HDR and using good bitrate. Most reviewers just yap nonstop, barely show any beam shots, or use a bad camera with bad, low settings that look like a pixelated mess in the dark.
Until they make an arkfeld with additional red light, it can't really compete with the rovyvon E30 pro, on lumens, battery, etc. I think red is more important than a laser for most people, though granted a laser cam be great fun. Basically they need to add red/uv/warm white as side lights and change the front uv to a spot beam. That would be a great combo.
Well, the Pro didn't have the glass lens so I believe that is a valid update. Also, the more durable aluminum case and anodizing seems like a nice update to me also. I plan to spend the extra $$$ for the Ultra over the cheaper Pro.
@@matthewhebbert9712 You're wrong. There is a timed showdown feature that is accessed by double pressing and holding on whatever brightness setting you want. The light will blink once for 3 min timer, and twice for a 9 minute timer.
My only complaint is that going from the pro to the ultra isn't worth it, for the most part. Yeah the body is nice and you get 1400 lumens. But, there isn't anything new about it. I love olight but I was hoping that with a new arkfeld release they would have included a side light. Cheaper brands already do this. I would really like to see olight do it as well
Depends. From what it seems the extra money is only really buying you a (allegedly) more durable light. If you don't work in an environment where that matters gets a pro. If you feel the extra armor is worth, Ultra. My biggest thing is color. While I like my green I'd rather this in orange for when I drop it in the woods, and I got to go back looking for it.
@@xderiwx A little farther. The i5R is lower lumens, but higher candela per lumen. Gives it a throw of about 65 meters, the Arkfeld Pro has a range of about 100 meters, but it's all flood.
Absolutely no question Olight make great quality lights but when you’re retired and on a fixed income these lights are just too darn expensive. Maybe someone will get me one for the holidays .
Make a wish list for loved ones! People stop doing this when they become the parent/grandparent but, coming from the adult child’s perspective, I would really appreciate a list. I’d much rather gift our parents something they would use and enjoy. We’re spending the money either way. My husband and I actually just told his parents that we expect a list from them next year. They’re really hard to buy for and expect lists from everyone else but never give us one? Not going to fly anymore lol Hope you get your Olight 😊
Turns out the clip isn’t replaceable either. Olight sent me a new light when the clip got snagged at work and twisted it. Silly but I got a new light. They’ve also sent me replacement hardware for a pistol light for free after I called to order and pay for new because I had lost it. It’s crazy you can’t replace a pocket clip but I have always had good experience with warranty or support when I need it.
Olight has very good warranty. I recently sent in my Warrior X Pro for warranty. Out of dozens of Olights I’ve owned, it’s the only one that broke. They credited me back more than I paid for it. I highly doubt a lot of people will use the Arkfeld enough to wear out its battery but if you do, just send it in for warranty and they’ll either replace it or give you store credit.
Great Olight reviews.. wish I'd have found this channel sooner. Love the real world testing and HD footage up close of each light.
Looks like a better clip. Still wish replaceable battery. Love my pro.
I bought an Orange Olight Arkfeld Pro brand new on eBay for $59.99… The seller had several of them. I love it…
Mind sharing the link

That's a super sweet light, Charlie!
I agree. We need more desert camo or fde colors from olight. I have the perun mini in desert camo and love it

Where did you get your knife/light stands? I like how they’re so easily accessible and displayed.
Hardly an update to the pro and you wouldn't notice an extra 100 lumens.
has a glass lens so you cant melt it also dosent scratch easily
@ahuman7404 Shouldn't it have had that already 🤔

Any upgrade to the lazer or UV?
I just bought the Arkfield ultra in navy blue 59$ in loyalty program
Same 😁
What is the pocket knife on the left side of the ultra at 1:24
Looks like a lynch titanium clip. I have one on my para 3 and really like it
An REC Spyderco PM2, with an REC Lynch clip
Can the light and laser be used at the same time like the Pro model?
6:12
I've got the pro and the Ultra does seem better but I just don't think there's enough there to warrant an upgrade from the pro.
Hey Charlie, lighter or heavier than the standard Arkfeld Pro?
Thanks for sharing!
Is there a timer mode ?
No

missed opportunity to add a red light for the woods
So if I don’t have a Pro, should I spend the extra $ to get the Ultra??
I did haha.
I have no arkfeld , so i buy the ultra😅

@@truecross4090Thanks for the reply, think I’ll get the pro.
@@truecross4090That’s definitely a good point. Having a flashlight that blends in isn’t always a good thing lol
Its a rockbros rebagded bicycle light.
Lolwut? What model rockbros light is this a rebrand of?
The pro is fine but the light has no throw
Can you compare the throw to an i5R?
Correct, because the white light is specifically a flood light. This is like complaining that spot lights have no flood.

It’s a lifetime warranty flashlight. No need to throw it away .

Overpriced... needs better runtime for 100 lumens
Numbers have verifiable values, fym?
10 hours at 100 isn't enough?
I only buy Olights with replaceable batteries. No sealed units for me. To expensive to throw it out down the road when the internal battery is kaput.
Olight claims that their lifetime warranty includes built-in (non-removable) batteries.
@@garyk4017 interesting. I might grab a clip light for my cars visor
I’ve had my first Arkfeld for 23 months. I use it every day literally. No signs of the battery going bad
