The premise is even funnier once you know NBC forced various shows to do wedding and funeral-themed episodes to toe into their network premiere of FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL. So the NEWSRADIO writers responded by doing an episode about...a rat funeral. And more than two decades later, I still remember this ep and laugh hysterically while I can’t recall the other shows in the same lineup.

So this was great, but it DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PUNCHLINE!!! It is funny enough that they can get away with posting only half of the joke, but OMG, the scene when they find out where that "incinerator chute" actually goes!

It's crazy how much Joe's voice and accent has changed since this show.
The left off where the Postman yells at them for not know the difference between the trash chute and the mail chute.
That comes way at the end. This scene ended with the interrupter asking Dave what the hubbub was about.
Yes, I can't believe they didn't add the episode's payoff 'tag' of the building maintenance guy telling Dave "This is the last time I'm tellin' youse. This is the mail chute." [points] "*THIS* is the incinerator chute!"

And yet he could kill you with his bare hands, and eat your liver raw. Ironic...huh?
He's 5' 8'' just slightly below average height
OK, this is really weird. I have the same mentality towards rats as Dave had towards rats in general. But at the end of this episode, I really felt for all those little rodents... and the people that felt for them. And... I was sort of annoyed that at that point, everyone stopped caring.
